Today we’d like to introduce you to Anton Cofield.

Hi Anton, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
On May 17, 2026 @therealsneakaplug will be celebrating our eight year anniversary. We will be giving away 100 pairs of sneakers. to kids and parents in our community. Our goal is to support those who have supported us. This is a family owned business started by my son and myself. My name is Anton Cofield. I am the founder of Sneakr Plug. inc . In Stockbridge, Georgia.
We opened in November 27, 2017 with no understanding no knowledge of the by sell trade industry no sneakers only a dream. Everyone thought we were nuts sometimes delusion. Iis what it takes to make reality happen..

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We are very thankful for humble beginnings. We started with nothing so we had nothing to lose. There were many challenges because we had no knowledge. We didn’t understand the game so we had to instinctively learn. We had to learn literally from the clients we had to understand social media, we had to understand how to market our product we realized that we were more than just a by selling trade store. We understood that we were a financial institution, a marketing company and a distribution network..

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sneaka Plug inc.?
On Sunday May 17th Sneaka Plug will be celebrating our 8th anniversary. We will be giving back to our community by providing 100 free pairs of sneakers to kids and families in our neighborhood .The support has been greatly appreciated. ,we started this business back in 2017 with literally no real cash or understanding of how to run a buy sell and trade sneaker business but what we did have is years of experience in business. I was born in BKNY and when I was 18 I moved to Richmond Va to start my career as a barber within 8 years I had my own barber and beauty salon. I expanded to nails and soon after I opened a recording studio all on one block . Everything came to a crushing end when the property was sold and we were forced to close all 3 locations at one time ! Yo I was sick for like a day and a half and then God spoke to me one night and said You’re Retired and that’s when I started making plans to move to Stockbridge Ga . I picked Stockbridge because we had family there I’d been coming to ATL for years and I knew I wanted to live here, After being an owner for so long it was a humbling experience for me to work in a barbershop but when God closes one door he kicks down the next door. When I arrived in Stockbridge I had no idea that in less than two years we would be in the sneaker business lol! Growing up in NY we all were all about sneakers and fashion but Ga is too so working in the barbershop allowed me to get a birds eye view of the fashion and foot wear . The biggest thing I learned was that they were taking money out of the city and spending in other areas of town.Because I had a recording studio in we were always shooting videos and so we were always go to a sneaker store in Richmond called round two . We buy sell and trade sneakers for different videos we doing,fast forward 2 years later my son and I were on the phone talking about how we should open up a sneaker store and I said how can we do that? He said dad let’s open up a store like round two that’s when things changed. I always knew that my son and I would work together and this was the perfect opportunity for us to make sure we created something special. Our grand opening was November 27th 2017 with no inventory no real plans and most importantly we had no idea how to run this type of business. What I figured out was that if you want to know how you can starting humbly allowed us to enjoy the journey.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Just imagine being an established business owner being told that you have to close on Monday it’s Friday there’s no wiggle room it’s over. What do you do? The first thing I did was flip out my life’s changed forever, what was I going to do next ? When God closes one door, he kicks open another.
