Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Rehberg.
Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started creating content in November while working full-time in the nonprofit space. Through my work, I saw firsthand how nonprofits and community-driven organizations are often left out of the influencer and marketing world, so I wanted to create something that could spotlight them in a meaningful way. I began a series highlighting nonprofits and good causes around Atlanta for free to help bring more visibility to the work they’re doing.
At the same time, I started sharing my favorite local restaurants and small businesses, focusing on places people might not already know about. One of my favorite series has been ‘Eating Around the World in Atlanta,’ where I highlight the city’s diversity through food.
Since then, it’s grown into a platform centered around discovering hidden gems Atlanta has to offer and supporting local businesses.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest challenges has been just staying consistent and figuring things out as I go while building something from scratch.
I’ve also had to find my voice in a space that can feel really saturated. It takes time to figure out what actually resonates, especially when you’re trying to do something a little different by highlighting nonprofits and community-focused organizations.
A big part of that has been learning how to share those stories in a way that still feels engaging and fun, while showing that nonprofits can actually connect with people on platforms like this.
There’s also the learning curve of working with local businesses, building trust, forming relationships, and showing the value of what I do, especially early on.
Those challenges have helped me stay consistent and focus on creating content that feels real and true to what I want this platform to be.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I focus on highlighting small businesses, hidden gems, and the diversity of Atlanta through my content. A lot of what I create is centered around helping people explore the city with fresh eyes and discover places they didn’t even know existed, whether that’s through my ‘Eating Around the World in Atlanta’ series or more spontaneous ‘side quests’.
I’m drawn to storytelling through experiences and use social media to showcase small businesses and nonprofits in a way that feels more accessible than traditional marketing, showing how they can connect with new audiences.
What I’m most proud of is being able to take things that might not traditionally be seen as “content” and present them in a way that resonates. I try to create content that not only highlights where to go, but also encourages people to explore their city and get involved in good causes.
What’s next?
Looking ahead, I want to keep growing this platform in a way that still feels true to what I started. I’m excited to keep expanding the kinds of places and experiences I highlight and continue showcasing Atlanta’s diversity, small businesses, and nonprofits.
I’d also love to create more intentional ways to support nonprofits, like opening up a more direct way for organizations to connect and be featured. I’m really interested in helping bridge the gap between nonprofits, small businesses, and creators, and making it easier for them to collaborate and share their stories at a larger scale.
My goal is to keep building something that feels authentic and community-focused but is also genuinely useful for people looking to discover more of Atlanta.
