Hidden Gems: Meet Benjamin Anderson of Anderson Pipe Solutions LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Benjamin Anderson.

Hi Benjamin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a 10-year Army veteran, and that background really shaped how I approach both work and people, with discipline, accountability and doing things the right way the first time.

After transitioning out of the military, I got into plumbing and have been in the trade for about six years. I started from the ground up, learning both residential and commercial work, and worked my way into leadership roles. Today, I run the plumbing department for a construction company while also owning and operating Anderson Pipe Solutions LLC here in the Metro Atlanta area.

From the beginning, my focus has been simple: take care of people and give them solutions that actually last. In this industry, a lot of customers are used to quick fixes or being sold things they don’t need. I’ve built my business around doing the opposite; educating the customer, being transparent, and delivering high-quality work at a price that’s fair and truly affordable.
For me, customer service isn’t just about being responsive, it’s about showing up on time, communicating clearly, standing behind the work, and making sure the customer feels confident in what they’re getting. If I wouldn’t do it in my own home, I’m not doing it in theirs.

Long-term, my goal is to continue growing the company into a trusted name in the area, known not just for quality plumbing, but for integrity, reliability, and taking care of people the right way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
no, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.

Transitioning out of the military, I dealt with PTSD and some real mental health challenges. There was a period where I was trying to figure out who I was without that structure and purpose I had for so long. That transition isn’t talked about enough, it can feel like you’re starting over, and for a while, I was just trying to find direction. (Shout out to all our veterans)

At the same time, I was working my way up in plumbing, learning the trade from the ground up. Then, when I decided to start my own business, there were real financial pressures. I was investing in tools, materials, marketing all while still trying to stay afloat personally. There were moments where things were really tight and I had to bet on myself and trust in the Lord that the work and consistency would pay off.

But honestly, the biggest struggle was finding purpose again.

That’s really what Anderson Pipe Solutions became for me, it gave me something to build, something to take pride in, and a way to serve people. It wasn’t just about plumbing anymore, it was about showing up for customers the right way, building trust, and creating something that lasts.

That’s where my motto comes from, “Strength in Every Connection.” It applies to the work we do, making sure every system is solid and reliable, but it also speaks to people. The relationships with customers, partners, and the community…that’s what everything is built on.

So no, it hasn’t been easy, but those struggles are what shaped the business, and they’re the reason I approach it with the level of care and purpose that I do today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Anderson Pipe Solutions is a full service plumbing contractor.
We handle every aspect of the trade, nothing missed.
You need a garbage disposal swapped at your house? Call us.
You need a 30 unit apartment building roughed in? Call us.
You need a 12 inch ductile iron water main repaired under an asphalt road at 12 am? Call us.

The crew that we have been able to put together is like the plumbing A-Team. There is no job too big, too small or too complex for APS. We approach every job with the same standard, transparency and craftsmanship… every time.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Oh man let me think about this one.

I have a lot of fond childhood memories.
I come from a family of 5 children and I’m the only boy. I have four sisters who mean the absolute world to me.
All of my fondest memories include them.

We grew up in California, in a small beach town called Ventura. It was sunny and 75 year round. We had the lake 40 minutes away, the beach 10 and the desert 60. We grew up riding dirt bikes in the desert and those are my fondest memories. Riding around, not a care in the world, living in the moment with my sisters; my best friends.
