Daily Inspiration: Meet Ryan Kennedy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Kennedy.

Hi Ryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started out in Atlanta just figuring things out like anybody else—trying different paths, learning what felt right, and what didn’t. Over time, I realized I had a natural pull toward being in front of the camera and entertaining people. Whether it was making people laugh, bringing energy into a room, or just being myself, that’s where I felt the most alive.

So I leaned into that. I started taking acting and modeling more seriously—building my look, my confidence, and my presence. It hasn’t been a straight line. There have been moments of doubt, slow progress, and having to prove myself over and over. But each step taught me something and pushed me to grow.

Now, I’m at a point where I know who I am and what I bring. I’m still on the journey, still hungry, but more focused than ever. I’m not just chasing opportunities anymore—I’m building a name, creating a lane for myself, and showing people exactly why I belong in this space.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing real life with chasing the dream. Like you mentioned, working to pay bills while trying to make castings is tough—there were times I had to miss opportunities because I couldn’t get off work, or I’d find out about a casting too late. That can be frustrating, especially when you know you’re ready.

There’s also the uncertainty. You can put in the work, show up, look the part, and still not get picked. That kind of rejection can mess with your confidence if you let it. And in a city like Atlanta, where there’s so much talent, it’s easy to feel like you have to constantly prove yourself.

Another struggle has been building the right connections. Early on, it’s not always clear who to trust or how to get in the right rooms, so you’re learning as you go.

But all of that honestly helped shape me. It taught me discipline, patience, and how to stay consistent even when things aren’t moving fast. Now I move smarter—I plan better, stay ready for opportunities, and don’t take setbacks as losses, just part of the process.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in patient care and medication management. Right now, I work in healthcare as a CNA and a med tech. My role is very hands-on—I help care for patients day-to-day, making sure they’re comfortable, safe, and supported. As a CNA, that means assisting with basic needs, building relationships with patients, and being someone they can rely on. As a med tech, I’m responsible for administering medications and making sure everything is done accurately and on time. Overall, I’d say my specialty is combining compassion with reliability—being someone patients and staff can depend on while still bringing a positive, steady energy into the space.

It’s work that requires patience, compassion, and attention to detail. You’re dealing with real people and real situations, so you have to show up fully every day. That experience has honestly shaped me a lot—it’s taught me discipline, empathy, and how to stay calm under pressure. At the same time, I’m still pursuing my goals in acting and modeling. So I balance both—working in healthcare while building my career in entertainment. It keeps me grounded, but also motivated, because I know exactly what I’m working toward. I’d say I’m known for my presence and consistency—especially in the web series world. I bring a natural energy on camera that feels real, and people remember that. I’m also known for being reliable and easy to work with, which goes a long way in this industry.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come. Starting out, I didn’t have everything figured out, but I stayed committed and kept pushing myself. Being able to say I’ve built a name for myself in web series, gained experience, and actually see my growth on screen—that means a lot to me.

I’m proud of the fact that I didn’t just talk about it, I went out and did it. And I’m still building, still improving, and still aiming for bigger opportunities. What sets me apart is the combination of authenticity, work ethic, and real-life experience I bring into everything I do. I’m not just playing roles—I understand people on a deeper level because of my background in healthcare. Working as a CNA and med tech, I deal with real emotions, real pressure, and real responsibility every day. That naturally translates on camera and makes my performances feel genuine, not forced. I also bring a unique energy. I can be funny, charismatic, and light, but I can also tap into serious, grounded moments when needed. That range makes me versatile. And honestly, my hunger sets me apart. I’m balancing a full-time career while still showing up for auditions, filming, and building my name. That kind of discipline and drive—you can’t fake that. I’m not waiting for opportunities, I’m working for them, and that shows in how I move and how I present myself.

Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to become a successful, paid working actor—someone who’s consistently booking roles and building a strong name in the industry. I’m focused on leveling up, getting into bigger projects, and really showing my range and growth on screen. At the same time, I’m looking to expand beyond acting. I’m planning to start my own shirt line, something that reflects my personality, style, and journey. I want it to be more than just clothing—it should represent confidence, ambition, and being unapologetically yourself. Big picture, I’m working toward creating multiple streams for myself. Acting is the main goal, but I also want to build a brand around who I am. I’m looking forward to stepping into bigger opportunities, taking more risks, and really turning everything I’ve been working on into something solid and lasting.
