Check Out Capone Stroud’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Capone Stroud.

Hi Capone , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I actually started out as a lip-sync performer, which is where I really learned how to command a crowd and understand energy. From there, I transitioned into emceeing, and that’s when I found my voice—literally and professionally—being able to control the room, engage people, and keep the vibe where it needs to be.

After that, I moved into promoting because I saw a gap. The business needed more people in the building, and I knew I could bring that. I ended up launching a very successful Sunday night event, and that really solidified me as a promoter.

Since then, I’ve continued building events and brands, and in 2024, I went viral by creating the “What’s your stud name, what’s your real name?” trend. That trend generated over 140 million views across platforms and really showed my ability to tap into culture, create moments, and drive engagement at a large scale.

So my journey has really been about evolving from performer, to host, to promoter, to now a content creator and brand builder who understands both the entertainment side and the business behind it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road but honestly, life isn’t meant to be. I’ve had to stand on my own a lot in this industry. There were times I was doing events and felt like people were working against me instead of with me. But even in those moments, I still found a way to succeed.

One of the biggest challenges I hear is, “Why don’t you all just team up and do something big for the community?” And while that sounds good in theory, it’s not always realistic. In business, everyone has their own vision, their own brand, and their own formula. You don’t see Zaxby’s partnering with Chick-fil-A, or Popeyes teaming up with KFC. They each built their own recipe and found success in their own way and I’ve taken that same approach.

So for me, obstacles are just part of the journey. They’re not roadblocks, they’re lessons. You face them, learn from them, and keep moving forward just like in life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m an entertainer, host, and promoter, but I also consider myself a creative and community builder. I specialize in creating experiences whether that’s hosting events, building crowds, or creating viral content that connects with people. I’m known for my energy, my ability to control a room, and my consistency in bringing people together. I’ve built successful events and brands, and in 2024 I created a viral trend, “What’s your stud name, what’s your real name?”, which reached over 140 million views across platforms.

What I’m most proud of, though, goes beyond the nightlife industry. I’ve made it a priority to give back to my community. I’ve run for office, organized protests, volunteered my time, and actively supported causes in both the LGBTQ+ community and my local community. I’ve also worked on campaigns for candidates and used my platform to advocate for others.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just focus on one lane. I’m able to balance entertainment, business, and community impact. I know how to build a brand, create culture, and also stand for something bigger than myself. For me, it’s not just about being seen it’s about making a real impact.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising about me is that I’m naturally not a talker. A lot of people see me now as an emcee and personality and assume I’ve always been outgoing, but I was actually very shy growing up.

My mom used to take me to places like McDonald’s and make me order my own food just to get me comfortable speaking to people. I remember her literally tapping me on the shoulder until I said something.

So it’s funny because now I’m known for being on the mic, controlling crowds, and engaging people but that all came from pushing past that shyness. It’s something I had to grow into, and I think that’s part of what makes me so good at what I do now.
