Community Highlights: Meet Brittany “Britni Lorraine” Williams of Rayne’s Mother Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany “Britni Lorraine” Williams.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been a creative at heart, and entrepreneurship has been my way of bringing that creativity to life. I first stepped into business through fashion with my boutique, BLACC by Britni Lorraine formerly Boss Beauty Wardrobe, which was built around helping women show up confidently and objectively in every space they walk into. That experience taught me so much about branding, presentation, and most importantly, how women want to feel when they invest in themselves.

Losing my best friend, Cierria, shifted everything for me. Her passing changed me in a way that words can’t fully capture, and it left me with a level of grief I didn’t know what to do with. Continuing her idea to begin a skincare business became a place for me to put that grief; to channel it into something that could still create care, even in the middle of loss.

Rayne’s Mother Skincare was born from that space. Rayne’s Mother already existed as a concept before she passed. It was something we had talked about, something she poured into, and something that was always meant to become more. After losing her, continuing it became deeply personal. I found myself creating the kinds of products I wish I could go to her for. The kind of care that feels personal, intentional, and rooted in real love. What I’m building isn’t just about skincare; it’s about creating rituals. Moments where people can slow down, reset, and reconnect with themselves, even in the middle of busy, demanding lives. Every product has been thoughtfully developed through real use, making sure it truly supports the kind of care we often put off but deeply need.

Today, I’m preparing for the official launch of Rayne’s Mother, and it feels like a true evolution of my journey as a founder. I’m no longer just focused on how women show up to the world, but also on how they care for themselves when no one is watching.

Both brands reflect different parts of my growth, but Rayne’s Mother is rooted in something deeper. It’s built on love, memory, and the decision to turn something so personal into something that can care for others, too.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, this journey has actually been fairly smooth.

A big part of that comes from experience. Building my first brand taught me so much about how to approach things the right way from branding to customer experience to moving with intention instead of rushing. This time around, I’ve had a much clearer vision of what I’m building and how I want to build it.

That said, it hasn’t been without its challenges.

This is my first time handmaking products, so there’s been a learning curve in terms of formulation, consistency, and making sure every product performs the way I want it to. I’ve spent a lot of time testing, refining, and sometimes restarting to get things right.

There’s also a different level of pressure that comes with creating something this personal. I’m not just putting out products. I’m building something that carries meaning and a deeper purpose. I’ve had to be intentional about not rushing the process. It would be easy to push products out quickly, but I care too much about what this brand represents to do that. Every formula, every detail, every experience has to feel right.

But the biggest challenge hasn’t been business. It’s been personal. There were moments where I had to figure out how to show up for something I never envisioned building myself, while also carrying the weight of the loss of one of the most important people in my life.

Grief doesn’t move on a schedule, and neither does healing. Learning how to build something meaningful while navigating that has been one of the hardest parts of this journey.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Rayne’s Mother Skincare is a self-care brand centered around creating products that work together as rituals.

The name itself holds everything. Rayne’s Mother represents care in its purest form. The kind of care that is gentle, consistent, and rooted in love. Rayne is at the heart of it—the baby girl Cierria had to say goodbye to in order to begin her Cancer treatment. She was deeply loved, especially by Cierria, and that love is what this brand is built on. Everything I create is an extension of that.

We specialize in body care that goes beyond basic maintenance—things like body butters, exfoliating polishes, milk bath soaks, and cuticle oils—but what truly sets us apart is how those products are designed to be used. Everything is created with the purpose of helping people slow down, reset, and reconnect with themselves, even in the middle of busy, demanding lives.

One of our signature offerings is the Reset Ritual, which combines exfoliation, hydration, and restoration into a simple, repeatable routine. It’s designed for real life: after long work days, after travel, after showing up for everyone else. It’s not about perfection, it’s about coming back to yourself.

Every product is 100% handmade by me from start to finish using carefully selected, natural ingredients. That allows me to stay deeply connected to the quality, consistency, and overall experience behind each offering. Nothing is rushed. Each formula is tested and refined until it delivers the exact experience I want people to have.

Beyond the products, giving back is a core part of the brand. I created CHAR WALR (Can’t Have A Rainbow Without A Little RAYNE) as the foundation for all of my philanthropic efforts. Through initiatives like Rayne’s Prom Promise, I’m able to create meaningful experiences in honor of Rayne’s name, while also committing a portion of product sales toward early cancer detection, with emphasis on colon cancer. It’s important to me that this brand not only cares for people through products, but also creates impact in a way that reflects the love it was built on.

More than anything, I want people to know that Rayne’s Mother was created from love, is driven by love, and is designed to continue to be the light that Cierria carried into every room she entered. It exists to support the moments in between—the quiet resets, the deep exhales, and the kind of care that stays with you long after the moment has passed.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
There are definitely people who deserve credit for supporting me along the way.

First and foremost, Cierria. She laid the foundation for Rayne’s Mother. This brand exists because of her. She dreamed it, she spoke it into existence, and though she never got the chance to fully bring it to life, I promise her legacy won’t be left unfinished. Her love for people and the way she showed up for others continues to shape how I approach everything I create.

I’m also grateful for the people who have supported me through both of my brands whether that’s customers, friends, or supporters who have followed my journey from BLACC to Rayne’s Mother. Their trust, feedback, and willingness to support something I’ve built from the ground up has played a huge role in helping me grow and stay consistent.

I wouldn’t say I’ve had a traditional team or structure behind me yet, but I’ve had the right people around me. People who believe in what I’m building, who encourage me to keep going, and who remind me that this is bigger than just me.
