Megan , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started Givens Event Co. from a genuine love for celebrating people’s biggest milestones and creating meaningful experiences they’ll remember forever. What began as a passion for planning, decorating, and bringing ideas to life quickly grew into a business focused on weddings and special events.

Over the years, I’ve built Givens Event Co. into a full-service planning company that helps couples feel supported, organized, and excited throughout the entire process. From design and vendor coordination to timelines and day-of execution, I love turning visions into reality while allowing my clients to truly enjoy the moment.

Today, I’m proud to serve couples during one of the most important seasons of their lives, and I’m grateful that what started as a passion has become a career built on trust, creativity, and celebration.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped where I am today. In the beginning, one of the hardest parts was building a business from the ground up and getting people to see the value of investing in professional planning. There were seasons of working long hours, wearing every hat in the business, and learning through trial and error.

Another challenge was growing steadily while maintaining the level of service and attention each client deserves. Weddings are deeply personal, and every couple has different needs, so learning how to adapt, communicate clearly, and manage unexpected changes has been a huge part of the journey.

Like any business owner, I’ve faced moments of doubt and obstacles along the way, but those experiences taught me resilience, sharpened my skills, and pushed me to continue building a company I’m truly proud of.

Givens Event Co. is a wedding and event planning company dedicated to creating seamless, beautiful, and memorable celebrations. We specialize in full-service wedding planning, coordination, design, décor, florals, and officiating services, allowing our clients to have a one-stop experience with support from the first planning meeting to the final sendoff.

What sets us apart is the personalized experience we provide. We know every couple and every event is unique, so we take the time to truly understand each client’s vision, priorities, and style. Our goal is not to create cookie-cutter events—it’s to design celebrations that feel authentic, intentional, and unforgettable.

We’re known for being organized, calm under pressure, and creative in bringing ideas to life while making the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. Whether it’s managing logistics behind the scenes or styling the perfect details, we focus on making sure our clients can be fully present and enjoy their special day.

It helps create a smooth, professional experience for both me and my clients.
