Hidden Gems: Meet Sabrina Dzyuba of Sabrina J. Styles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Dzyuba.

Hi Sabrina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to beauty in a way that goes beyond just how something looks—I love how it makes people feel. Unofficially, my journey started as a kid styling dolls’ heads, which eventually turned into cutting and coloring my family and friends’ hair throughout middle and high school. What I once saw as just a fun hobby, I was encouraged to pursue professionally, which led me to cosmetology school—knowing only that I wanted to create an experience that made others feel incredible. Over time, that passion evolved into something much more intentional.

I began behind the chair focusing on hair, especially color, and quickly fell in love with the transformation process—enhancing someone’s natural features while maintaining the integrity and health of their hair. That foundation has shaped so much of how I approach my work today.

In 2020, when the pandemic temporarily took me out of the salon, I found myself at another turning point. I was encouraged again—this time to think about how I could expand my skill set and grow my business. In what initially felt like an unexpected direction, I stepped into bridal hair and makeup, and that’s where everything started to come together. I realized I didn’t just love the artistry—I loved being part of such meaningful moments. There’s something incredibly special about helping someone feel like the most elevated and beautiful version of themselves on one of the most important days of their life.

Over the past several years, I’ve built a business that blends both in-salon color work and on-location bridal hair and makeup, traveling to serve clients while creating a more personalized, luxury experience. More recently, I’ve also expanded into photography and videography, which has allowed me to approach beauty from a full creative perspective—capturing not just the finished look, but the entire story.

Today, my work is centered around creating an experience that feels seamless, elevated, and deeply personal—whether that’s behind the chair for a color transformation or on a wedding day with a full bridal party. I’m constantly evolving, but at the core, it’s always been about helping people feel confident, seen, and truly themselves —no matter the setting or season of life they’re in.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many in the beauty industry, I’ve had to navigate seasons of uncertainty, especially early on and during the pandemic when everything shifted so quickly.

One of the biggest challenges was learning how to transition from simply being skilled at my craft to actually running a business. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes—building a clientele, setting boundaries, understanding your value, and learning how to confidently communicate that to others. That was something I had to grow into over time.

Stepping into the bridal space was another major stretch for me. While I had the foundational skills, there was definitely a level of imposter syndrome that came with entering a new space—especially one that holds so much weight and emotion. Learning to trust myself, own my expertise, and show up with confidence in those moments was a process, but it ultimately strengthened both my artistry and how I serve my clients.

I’ve also had to navigate the ongoing challenge of visibility. In an industry that’s so heavily driven by social media and online presence, staying consistent and continuing to put myself out there is something I’m actively working on. There are seasons where things feel slower than I’d like, but those moments have pushed me to refine my approach, strengthen my brand, and stay committed to long-term growth.

Looking back, each challenge has shaped how I operate today. It’s made me more intentional, more confident in my work, and more focused on building something sustainable—both for my clients and for the life I’m creating.

We’ve been impressed with Sabrina J. Styles, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sabrina J. Styles is a bridal hair and makeup and creative studio centered around creating a seamless, elevated experience for each client. While our work is rooted in beauty, it goes far beyond the final look—it’s about how someone feels throughout the entire process.

Our services span both in-salon and on-location work, specializing in bridal hair and makeup for both local and destination clients, as well as customized color transformations behind the chair. That dual focus allows us to approach beauty from both a long-term and moment-driven perspective—prioritizing not only how something looks, but the health, integrity, and individuality behind it.

Over time, the brand has naturally expanded into photography and videography, creating a more cohesive and intentional experience for clients who want their entire story captured with the same level of care and artistry. As the brand has grown, I’ve also had the opportunity to build a trusted team of artists and creatives who align with the vision and standard of the brand. Having a team allows us to serve our clients more seamlessly—especially on wedding days—while maintaining a consistent level of quality, care, and attention to detail across every part of the experience.

We often work with clients who are looking for a more thoughtful, elevated experience—whether that’s an intimate setting or a larger-scale wedding day.

What sets Sabrina J. Styles apart is the level of intention behind every detail. From the initial communication to the final result, the focus is on creating something that feels effortless, refined, and deeply personal. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, each experience is tailored to the individual—enhancing natural features while ensuring the overall look aligns with their vision and the moment they’re stepping into.

What I’m most proud of is building a brand that not only delivers beautiful results, but also creates a space where clients feel confident, cared for, and fully themselves. At the end of the day, the goal is always to create an experience that feels just as elevated and memorable as the moment itself.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is being able to witness and be a small part of meaningful moments in other people’s lives. In my work, that often looks like watching everything come together in real time—the quiet, emotional moments where a bride sees herself fully ready, or when the people closest to her begin to take it all in. There’s something incredibly special about seeing someone step into a new season while being surrounded by so much love and support.

Outside of work, my happiness is deeply rooted in my relationship with God and continuing to grow in that. I also value time with my husband, along with the simple, meaningful moments spent with friends and family—whether that’s a game night, a movie night, or even a trip to Disney together. Those are the moments that keep me grounded and remind me what really matters.

I also find a lot of joy in creating spaces where people feel confident, seen, and genuinely cared for. That carries into both my personal life and my work—it’s something I’m always striving to cultivate.

Travel has become another part of what brings me joy. I love exploring new places, trying new things, and experiencing different environments. Being able to build a life and business that allows me to do that—and to bring my team along, many of whom have become close friends—has been incredibly meaningful to me.

At this stage in my life, happiness also looks like growth. It’s realizing that I’ve stepped into a version of life that once felt far beyond what I imagined, and understanding that there’s still so much more possible. That mindset has shifted everything for me—it’s no longer about limitation, but about what can be created moving forward.
