Marlé , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a musical artist and lyrical genius, voiceover actress for The Roach Motel, published author “I Am: A-Z Positive Affirmations for Black Kids”, and an Airbnb Superhost

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The struggles along the way have been balancing everyday life, motherhood, and work with the pursuit of my dream career. In addition to that, sometimes it’s a struggle (as an independent artist) pulling yourself out of a “funk” and remaining consistent and creative. There is a lot of pressure when you’re the main financial provider of your music business endeavors.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the beauty with the bars, Marlé Blu. I am a rapper, songwriter, and I single a little bit (haha). I am known for my captivating mic drop freestyles, cypher verses, and energetic stage performances. I’m most proud of being selected to open up for Mc Lyte as part of her Lyft Up cypher during her Reflections of Lyte tour. I’m also most proud of my new (upcoming musics) that reflects my personal evolution and growth. What sets me apart from others is my word play, metaphors, lyrical abilities, and my sound.

What does success mean to you?
Success is staying true to yourself and not selling your soul, always remaining humble, doing what you love, and being able to help uplift and elevate others in the process. Success is being able to bring opportunities to others to make their dreams and goals come true.
