Life & Work with Jordan S of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan S.

Hi Jordan, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since I was a kid I was always involved in art whether it was drawing, dancing, visual design, or acting. Never in a million years did I know I was going to stick with just one of those traits when I had dreams and ideas to create with all of them. It wasn’t until I was in church one Sunday morning during praise and worship where the mime ministry came on stage and started dancing that really had me at the edge of my seat. Something clicked and a spark was lit in eyes. I remember my Mom telling me that I told her i wanted to do that and at such a young age what did I know about Miming in church. Later on down the years as I got older and started exploring more with dance inside & out of church I knew that this was something I wanted to do as a career. I would always be amazed by the legendary dance films that inspired me like You Got Served, the Step-Up series, Bring It On, Footloose…even the music videos that appeared on 106&park that I used to watch faithfully after school. The passion and motivation to learn more about the dance art form mentally and physically led me to my success in professional Artist today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Other than the trails and tribulations God has placed me in to help me be a better person in life I don’t have any obstacles or challenges that I can think of that could’ve changed who I am. I am always growing, learning, and evolving.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is finding peace in any given situation because I know that God is in control. Too many times have I found myself feeling anxious about what I can’t control until I finally let go and let God.
