Today we’d like to introduce you to Tameka Perry.
Hi Tameka, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m an Atlanta-based lifestyle creator, wife, and mom of three, including a son on the autism spectrum. My content focuses on beauty, skincare, fashion, and everyday mom life. What started as a random TikTok I filmed with my daughters during COVID quickly turned into something I truly fell in love with. Over the years, sharing my real life, routines, and experiences has grown into a passion and a platform where I connect with an amazing community of women, moms, and creators. Today, content creation has become a meaningful creative outlet and a space where I can inspire, educate, and share my journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many creators, I started with zero knowledge of content creation, algorithms, or brand partnerships, I was just posting for fun. Learning how to be consistent, build confidence on camera, and figure out what worked took time and a lot of trial and error.
Balancing motherhood, marriage, and content creation has also been a big challenge, especially as a mom of three, including a child on the autism spectrum. Some seasons required me to slow down and prioritize my family, while still trying to stay consistent online. There were moments of self-doubt, slow growth, and wondering if I should keep going.
But those challenges helped me grow. They pushed me to stay authentic, trust my voice, and keep showing up. Looking back, the struggles made the journey even more meaningful.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
One thing people may not know is that I still work full time while being a content creator. For a year, I stepped away from work to focus on my family, and during that time my love for content creation really grew. When I returned to the workforce, I chose to continue building my platform alongside my career.
Balancing a full-time job, motherhood, marriage, and content creation takes planning, discipline, and a lot of late nights, but it’s something I’m really proud of. It has taught me time management, consistency, and how to show up with purpose in everything I do. Content creation has grown into a meaningful second career that I’m passionate about continuing to build.
