Hi Young, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Young Gorman, owner of Forever Young Salon in Cumming, Georgia. I am a wife to a retired Army veteran of 24 years, a proud mom, grandmother, salon owner, and educator who is passionate about helping women and children feel confident and beautiful again.

I specialize in balayage, extensions, and advanced mesh and meshless integration hair replacement systems for clients experiencing hair loss. I also educate stylists across the country, helping grow the next generation of beauty professionals.

Forever Young Salon was honored to be recognized as a 2026 Salon Today Top 200 Salon in North America, a milestone that reflects the hard work, heart, and dedication of our entire team.

One of the projects closest to my heart is our children’s wig donation initiative, where we custom create wigs and hair solutions for children experiencing hair loss. Being able to use my craft to restore confidence and bring hope to families is one of the greatest blessings of my career.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. As a military wife, we moved every 4–6 years, and each time I had to rebuild my career, clientele, and confidence all over again. English is also my second language, so there were moments I doubted myself and struggled to communicate the way I wanted to.

Building a salon from the ground up also came with challenges in leadership, team growth, and learning how to navigate difficult situations with employees. There were many hard seasons that tested me personally and professionally.

But through every challenge, I kept going with faith, hard work, and a heart to serve people. Those struggles helped shape me into a stronger leader, better mentor, and more compassionate salon owner today.

We’ve been impressed with Forever Young Salon And Forever Young Angel , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Forever Young Salon is a luxury salon in Cumming, Georgia specializing in balayage, extensions, and advanced hair loss solutions including mesh and meshless integration systems. We are passionate about helping women not only look beautiful, but feel confident again.

What sets us apart is the heart behind what we do. We focus on creating a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel cared for, heard, and supported. Many of our guests come to us during vulnerable moments in their lives, especially those experiencing hair loss, so building trust and connection is very important to our team.

We are also proud to be recognized as a 2026 Salon Today Top 200 Salon in North America. Along with serving clients, education is a huge part of our brand. I travel and teach other stylists advanced hair replacement techniques and balayage education, helping elevate the beauty industry and empower other professionals to grow.

One of the things I am most proud of is our children’s wig donation initiative, where we custom create wigs and hair solutions for children experiencing hair loss. Giving back through our craft is deeply meaningful to us and reflects the heart of our salon.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that many people may not know about me is that English is my second language, and for many years I struggled with confidence because of it. As a military wife, I also had to rebuild my career and clientele over and over again every few years due to moving.

Those experiences taught me resilience, humility, and how to connect with people beyond just words. I think that is one reason why I care so deeply for my clients and team today.

People may see the success now, but behind it were many moments of fear, sacrifice, and starting over. I’m proud that my journey shows that with faith, hard work, and heart, you can still build something beautiful even through challenges.
