Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Intro.
Hi Beth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first picked up a camera while I was teaching, simply wanting to capture the everyday magic around me: my students’ toothless smiles, the joy of recess, and the little moments that often go unnoticed. What started as a small hobby quickly grew into something much bigger. I realized how powerful it was to freeze those fleeting moments in time, and my love for photography continued to grow. Over time, that passion turned into a career, and I feel incredibly blessed to spend my days capturing memories that families can hold onto for years to come
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Learning the business side of photography: managing logistics, staying organized, and balancing it all alongside both raising my family and my teaching career has been an obstacle at times. However, it is also what keeps my life interesting !
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My photography style is warm and natural showing genuine emotion and connection in a way that I hope feels timeless and full of light. Whether photographing families, children, flowers, or meaningful milestones, I like to create images that are soft, authentic, and filled with heart. My background as an educator shines through in the comfort and trust I quickly build with children, allowing personalities and real moments to naturally unfold.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I am a big fan of children’s books.
“Ferdinand the Bull” will forever be my favorite and one that I connect to the most. The podcast, Conan Needs a Friend, never fails to make me laugh. I can walk for miles listening to Conan. I also like to listen to and learn from Kelly Corrigan. She is wise and real, and seems to make life make sense.
