Daily Inspiration: Meet Olivia Crosby

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Crosby.

Hi Olivia , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a 25-year-old aspiring Content Creator, just now figuring out what I want to do with my life. I’ve always struggled to stay disciplined and motivated in my studies. It’s something that just never came easily to me. I’ve changed my major a handful of times, taken a gap year, and now I can say I’m finally on track to graduate at the end of the year with my Associate’s in Marketing, specializing in Social Media. One thing that I’ve always flourished in is my creativity-since I can remember, I’ve always loved to create and design. I love DIY’s, crafting, and most of all, capturing special moments on my camera. Whether that be a moment with my friends, a family gathering, a special occasion, or a vlog of my daily life. I’ll turn anything into a story, because, well… it is one.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the last few years, I’ve had to face the reality of grief and how none of us are promised tomorrow. I’ve asked myself, if I knew this was my last week on earth, what would I change? Who would I talk to? Where would I travel? I realized that I don’t want to shrink myself to fit in a box that our society has deemed as normal when my heart is telling me that I am more than a 9-5, and my brain is flowing with an abundance of creativity that I need to share. Like all people, I’ve faced a handful of obstacles that have tried to get in the way of my dreams, but if you surround yourself with good people and have the best intentions in mind, the world will return the favor.

A Content Creator is more than just creating content. It’s seeing a moment and turning it into a story. It’s capturing the details that feel small, but when looking back on it feels so big and monumental. It’s knowing what moments to capture that makes you feel something. Over the last year, I have had the pleasure of working with different brands and local businesses in my area, creating content that represents them and what they have to offer. As I continue to grow and create, I hope to help other local entrepreneurs create content that speaks for their brand, while also continuing to tell my story through the lens.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success means relentlessly pursuing your dreams, no matter their size. Fear of growth, rejection, or judgment often leads us to settle and set our dreams aside. My hope is to inspire others to create, to dream, to share their stories, and to remain unapologetically authentic. Art, in all its forms, makes the world unique. So, create, inspire, dream, and share your passions—this is true success.
