Today we’d like to introduce you to Sher Parast.
Hi Sher, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sweetish Sister started from my longtime love of Swedish candy and the experience surrounding it. For years, I’d visit Bon Bon in NYC to stock up for my family and I. I loved the candy for it’s clean ingredients, but also the feeling behind it- the quality, branding, and the nostalgia.
I realized Atlanta was missing that experience, so I decided to create it myself (along with my 16 year old daughter). What began as a passion project quickly grew into Sweetish Sister – an adorable Scandinavian inspired candy cart and brand focused on bringing premium Swedish candy and a beautiful interactive experience to events and pop-ups across Atlanta.
As a mom of four, I intentionally wanted to create something flexible, creative, and experience driven rather than a traditional brick and mortar storefront. That’s where the idea for the mobile candy cart came from. I loved the idea of bringing the experience directly to people and creating Atlanta’s first Swedish candy concept.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many growing brands, we’ve experienced the challenges that come with building something original in a competitive space. It’s pushed us to stay creative, keep evolving, and focus on delivering an experience that truly feels authentic to us. We learned that success often comes with competition and imitation. While it was frustrating at first, it ultimately pushed us to focus even more on what makes Sweetish Sister unique – the experience, the quality, and the community we’ve built around the brand. We’ve chosen to keep raising the bar creatively and continue building a brand that feels distinctly ours.
Through consistency and authenticity, we’ve been able to truly set ourselves apart, and we’re quickly becoming the go-to Swedish candy experience in Atlanta. One of the things I’m most proud of is the incredibly loyal customer base we’ve created. People connect with the brand in a genuine way, and seeing customers return again and again has made every challenge along the way worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the proud founder of Atlanta’s first Swedish candy brand with beautiful mobile carts specializing in interactive and elevated pop-ups, brand activations, custom gifting, and private events all over Atlanta. We’ve been so lucky to be trusted by amazing brands, boutiques, and included in so many incredible events. In the past 8 months we’ve had the pleasure of working with Spanx, Kendra Scott, The Dunlin Auberge, Weezie, University of N. Georgia, and countless more. What sets us apart in my opinion, is our genuine love of community. We are always thrilled to get an inquiry for an event and meet new people!
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m a mom of four first, and a serial entrepreneur who loves creating and building businesses. Sweetish Sister just happened to combine so many things I genuinely love – branding, design, hospitality, experiences, and of course… Swedish Candy.
