Hi Young, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey everyone, I am Young Tunk. I am a hot female artist from Meridian, Mississippi, born and raised. I grew up being the oldest of seven kids of a single mother. So I grew up ahead of time as the eldest daughter but always my grandma’s baby. I’ve always been talented and creative. From writing, motivational speaking, being photogenic, styling hair and fashion, to influencing and inspiring, and achieving so much on my journey. I grew up under a lot of trauma but I never allowed that to stop my light from shining. I’ve experienced a lot of hate and envy from family, friends and lovers and still never let it change my pure heart. Just always kept God ahead of my life. I’m overachieving. I’ve come far. I rap. I’ve had 5 yrs of having my own salon. Doing hair, selling clothes, hair, jewelry, lipgloss, vendors etc. I have added along doing content, motivational speaking, acting, and modeling . I’ve always been a hustler. I have made my dreams come true by doing the work and being guided by God. I have two kids named Kingston & Royalty. I love my kids. I grind hard for them to have a legacy to leave behind to them. That they understand structure and everything I learned late. It hasn’t been an easy journey making things happen but God has kept me sane, provided for and protected. I got where I am today because of God’s goodness, faith, and doing the work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Physical and Mental Abuse from my mother
Betrayal from family, friends, and lovers
Losing my brother
Health with Seizures
Seeing reality and character of things and moving accordingly
Releasing people, certain environments, and habits.
Living amongst people who live in dysfunction and unhealthy behaviors

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I always was a journal type of girl and very poetic. I eventually decided to hop in the studio in 2015 for the first time. I begin to love doing music when I actually started hearing myself flow and go hard in the booth. I would be on and off as I created throughout the years. As a younging, I use to freestyle, dance and play on beats with siblings and friends. So making music was easy to me and actually was even better when I start recording. My talent as an artist has upscaled my networking environment as an influencer. I’ve met and connected with so many people. My hard work is putting me in the right places. Amongst the right people. I’ve begin to get more exposure. Presented trophies in award shows. Everything is coming full circle. My hit single is “Big Boss” . It is a song promoting being such a woman of confidence and responsibility yet so resilient. A woman that inspires many and makes some insecurities show by living in my truth. Fearlessly authentic for real. I have a voice of purpose. Even when it comes to my testimonials or advice to others.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For anyone starting out anything they want to do. I would say Go to God with the plan. Write it down. Execute whatever to knock the goals off the list. Stay focused and always do what’s best for you and your elevation. Stay aware and pay attention to the signs of guidance. You must believe in you and do the work. Don’t worry who doubts the vision. Just keep going. Stay away from negative people speaking against your ideas/vision.
