Check Out Steve R Allen’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve R Allen.

Hi Steve R, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I literally began my art career in one day. I was a copier technician in the morning, October 15, 1992, quit my job, went to the unemployment office, began painting that afternoon.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Over thirty three and a half years my artistic journey has been filled with great accomplishments. I don’t call it a struggle since I was/am just living my life as it has come. If I wasn’t being an artist I would have continued being a technician, retired, and continued living my life. It just so happens that I became an artist and have enjoyed the life I’m living up to and including now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I don’t really have any favorite childhood memories. Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s was more about surviving than creating fond memories. I hate to put it that way but this is the truth.
