Daily Inspiration: Meet Nathaniel Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Jackson.

Hi Nathaniel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My entrepreneur mindset started when I was around 7 or 8 when I used to draw and put prices I was going to sell my drawings for when I finished. That lead me to diving more into the arts when it came to music because I joined the band in elementary and stayed in all the way up through high school, during that time I started making beats in middle school as a hobby but the passion for it grew when I got in high school. But my passion for music went away after my apartment building caught fire and I lost all of my music equipment, instruments and other studio equipment. So for a while I was lost and didn’t know what to do but I knew I didn’t want to lose my my desire to create. So I ended up starting a YouTube channel just for fun in 2012 where I posted sneaker and streetwear videos. It started as just something to do on my free time, so I wasn’t as consistent but in 2016 I started a second channel documenting my hair growth journey and that changed everything. Within the first 4 months it went from 0 to 10,000 subscribers and back then that was a huge accomplishment so I began to take it more seriously and got more consistent as time went on. While doing that my passion for art and creating came back and I wanted to do more than just draw, thanks to my knowledge of graphic design from college and learning from YouTube I began to create my own designs on photoshop and started a clothing brand in 2017 called GoodVibesOnly+/454+. I started with screen printing t shirts then it evolved to embroidery designs on hats. So my desire for creating was through the roof. Then in 2019 I came across the investing and day trading world and that was a new lane that required a lot of my attention, so I put YouTube and my clothing brand on hold for a while to get better with trading as this was from 2019 through 2021. Once I got to a place I felt comfortable enough I got back into YouTube and focusing on my clothing brand again. In 2022 I created another YouTube channel dedicated to marching band reactions. With that I had a new found passion for YouTube again. Fast forward to 2025 I rebranded my main YouTube channel from hair content to faith based content because I gave my life to Christ and I wanted to spread a positive message to my supporters and encourage them to grow in their faith. And also towards the end of 2024 I started back making beats again and my skills have improved despite being away from music producing for over 10 years and I’m only getting better. As you can see I’m just a jack of all trades when it comes to being an entrepreneur but my main focus is YouTube and letting that be the catalyst for other endeavors I have.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting off with YouTube I had to learn on the go especially when it came to editing videos, learning the algorithm, and learning what my audience liked. Another thing was losing all of my music equipment, studio equipment, instruments and my music in an apartment fire, that was like losing another half of me, years of hard work was gone and the thought of starting over was devastating to me. And also when my father passed away in 2021, that was a time when I was at the lowest point of my entrepreneurial journey because my business was slowly dying, I was losing money and my mental health was at an all time time low but thanks to God stepping in and letting me know that I could lean on Him for comfort He helped me through my grief and from that point forward it was an uphill climb to get back on track.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So I specialize in YouTube and content creation. I have a few channels but my main channel is focused on faith and my second is a a band reaction channel. I’m also into other areas of creating, like having a clothing brand, I’m in the rebranding phase with that right now. I’m really just a jack of all trades because I love learning new things and don’t want to be stuck in a box.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I’m a fast learner when it comes to learning new things, even if it’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever encountered I’ll never give up learning about it and perfecting it.
