Today we’d like to introduce you to Sada Simmons.
Hi Sada , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From as far back as I can remember, beauty was never just something I admired…it was something I carried. I found joy in fashion, expressing myself through style, stepping in front of the camera, and capturing moments that reflected confidence, creativity, and purpose. But I also understood that beauty wasn’t only about what people could see; it was about health, discipline, and taking care of the body God gave me. Fitness became a lifestyle for me, and that passion led me to writing my first book, “Manifesting the Body You Want”, now available on Amazon. It also inspired my fitness brand, Shy’s Reflection, which is entering an exciting new season through rebranding.
As I continued growing, I stepped further into modeling and found a love for the runway…the confidence, the energy, and the feeling of walking in purpose. But beyond the lights and cameras, I discovered something even greater: my purpose in ministry. Through my TikTok platform, I share my love for God because He has truly been good to me. His guidance has shaped my journey and continues to direct my path every step of the way. That same purpose has inspired my second book, a Bible study journal that I’m excited to release into the world.
Today, I stand as someone with many passions and gifts that I’m ready to share. I’m stepping into my dream of becoming a lifestyle YouTuber, bringing people along my journey through faith, fitness, beauty, and everyday life. I’m also pursuing acting, and this is only the beginning. I’ve had opportunities to work with local production teams and even serve as a background actor for Tyler Perry. So don’t be surprised if you see me on the big screen one day.
This is how I got here: through faith, passion, discipline, and trusting God’s direction. And the story is still being written.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has not always been smooth. There were seasons where I had to put survival before passion and responsibility before dreams. I made one of the biggest decisions of my life when I moved from Mississippi to Atlanta with my two children, believing there was more ahead for us and praying for a breakthrough in the passions and gifts God had placed inside of me.
As a mother, raising my children and making sure they had what they needed became my main focus. During that season, my purpose and passions seemed to take a back seat. Like many people, I had responsibilities, bills, and real-life situations that required stability. I found myself continuing in the medical field, helping build someone else’s vision while quietly placing my own dreams on hold.
Eventually I reached a place where I had to ask myself a difficult question: Would I continue making someone else’s dream flourish while ignoring the gifts God gave me, or would I have the courage to trust Him and pursue the dreams, passions, and talents He placed inside of me?
The transition from working in my career to entrepreneurship has been one of the most challenging journeys of my life. Entrepreneurship is more than starting a business….it’s a faith walk. It requires trusting God when you cannot see every step, believing He will open doors you cannot open yourself, and having faith that opportunities will come at the right time. There were moments of uncertainty, fear, and stretching, but I’m learning that obedience often requires stepping out before you feel fully ready.
Through it all, God has continued to remind me that purpose never disappears…it simply waits for the right season. Today I’m choosing faith over fear, purpose over comfort, and trusting that everything I’ve walked through has been preparing me for where I’m headed.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I would say I specialize in beauty, fashion, and creative designing. I love thinking outside the box and doing what others are not. My creativity has always been set apart. I’m most proud of the confidence that was once challenging, surprisingly but my confidence in doing and sharing and not caring what others think. I’m proud of the version I’ve become that has the ability to wear many hats.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Well, I don’t believe in Luck but favor and I would say favor has played a major role in my life, it may not come or I may not get it when I want it but it always make its way to me in the right timing…..like buying a house, working in midtown in one of the tallest building downtown Atlanta or being casted for modeling or tv production, working with Tyler Perry etc.
