We recently had the chance to connect with Angela Wingard and have shared our conversation below.
Angela, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
Honestly, I think a lot of people are quietly panicking about how much harder it is to sell right now, but they’re too scared to admit it.
The online space has glamorized constant growth and “six-figure launches,” so when things slow down, people assume they’re the problem. But in reality, it’s not just them, the economy’s shifting, trust is low, and consumers spend differently. People are applying 2020 tactics to a 2025 audience.
Most business owners don’t want to say, “I’m doing everything right and it’s still not landing,” because that sounds like failure. But it’s not. It’s just market evolution. And pretending everything’s fine only isolates people more.
What people are secretly struggling with isn’t just sales and marketing, it’s uncertainty. Uncertainty isn’t the enemy, t’s feedback in disguise.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder and creative director behind Brand Binge™, a female-led creative agency based in Atlanta. We build brands that hit differently, the kind that linger long after someone closes a tab.
At our core, we blend design and visuals to help businesses sell smarter. We don’t just make things look pretty; we build brands that connect, convert, and last. It’s a mix of artistry and data…champagne taste meets sales strategy.
What makes us different is that we care just as much about what happens after the launch as the day it goes live, giving our clients the tools, visuals, and messaging to binge-build their brand long after we’re done.
Right now, I’m focused on scaling Brand Binge™ to reach more brands and bigger audiences….taking on more dream clients, expanding our creative team, and building out new ways to help businesses grow with intention, strategy, and a little bit of edge.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was an insecure, deeply unconfident person for a long time. I didn’t have much stability growing up, and that shaped me — or maybe unsettled me — in ways I’m still working through as an adult. But even then, I was always empathetic. I wanted to help people, to make things better somehow. Volunteering and giving back were huge parts of my identity.
For a while, I thought that meant I’d end up in healthcare. But as much as I admired the field, I realized I didn’t quite have the personality for it. What I did have was a deep love for design; for aesthetics, visuals, and the way creativity can change how people feel. So halfway through college, I decided to stop living for everyone else and finally live for myself. I switched to an art degree three years in, basically starting over…and it was the first decision that truly felt like me.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
It’s not your fault — and you’re worthy. You were just a kid, and none of the anger, chaos, or lack of attention you went through was something you caused or deserved. You didn’t have to earn love or stability; you always deserved it just by being you.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Integrity, always. I care way more about doing things the right way than the fast way. In an industry that can be full of smoke and mirrors, being real, transparent, and ethical isn’t optional, it’s the foundation.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m at home with something simmering on the stove, music playing softly in the background, a book in my hands, and my kids laughing and playing together… that’s when I feel most at peace. It’s in those quiet, ordinary moments that I realize I’ve built the life I used to dream about. It’s not flashy or loud, but it’s everything I ever wanted.
