An Inspired Chat with Luna Branch of Decatur

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Luna Branch. Check out our conversation below.

Luna, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been finding joy in reconnecting with nature and giving myself permission to rest. Whether it’s taking solo walks near water, lighting candles for no reason, or just journaling under the moonlight, these quiet moments help me stay grounded and inspired. I’m also deepening my personal spiritual practices—not for content or clients, but just for me. That kind of sacred time is where my joy and clarity are coming from right now.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Luna—spiritualist, content creator, and founder of The Mystic Muse, a metaphysical brand and boutique, where mysticism meets modern magic. Through my YouTube channel, shop, and private sessions, I help people tap into their intuition, explore ancestral wisdom, and reclaim their spiritual power. My work blends tarot, astrology, folklore, and rituals rooted in ancestral traditions—especially from African and Indigenous American lineages.

What makes The Mystic Muse unique is that it’s not just a brand, it’s a living altar. Every product, post, or reading is created with intention, storytelling, and deep spiritual respect. I’ve been honored to watch it grow from a side hustle to a full-time calling. Right now, I’m working on expanding my product line, hosting immersive spiritual events like Tarot After Dark, and building a space where seekers, healers, and creatives can come together, both in person and online.

This is more than just business for me—it’s a legacy, and it’s deeply personal.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I had to dim my light to make other people comfortable. I was naturally intuitive, creative, and deeply aware of things most people didn’t talk about—but I thought that made me “too much” or “too different.” I’ve since unlearned that. Now, I embrace those parts of myself fully, and I’ve built an entire life and business around the very things I used to hide. What I once saw as “weird” or “wrong” about me turned out to be my greatest gift.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Something I miss that not many people know about is singing. I used to sing all the time as a child—and I was actually really good! My dad and I would sing together, and those moments are some of my most cherished memories. He’s the reason I fell in love with R&B. As I got older and my voice changed, I became more self-conscious and stopped singing in front of people. But lately, I’ve been thinking about taking vocal lessons just for me—just to reconnect with that joy. Who knows… I might even drop a song one day 😉

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. The version of me you see online—especially on YouTube—is very real. I keep things polished, but I’m also not afraid to let my hair down and speak from the heart. Authenticity is everything to me. I truly believe that when you choose yourself in a way that doesn’t harm others, the universe responds with favor. I’ve been able to stay aligned and abundant because I’m honest—with myself and with others. What you see is what you get, and I take pride in that.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think the most misunderstood part of my legacy will be the spiritual work itself. People often demonize what they don’t understand, especially when it doesn’t fit into their worldview. But long before there were doctors or psychologists, there were rootworkers, shamans, midwives, and spiritual healers. My role in the community is ancient—it’s ancestral. We’ve always existed, and we always will. I’m simply continuing a sacred tradition that’s been passed down through generations, even when the world tried to erase or vilify it.
