An Inspired Chat with Rachel C of Inman Park

We recently had the chance to connect with Rachel C and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Rachel, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
My work blends Reiki, breathwork, yoga, and creative expression to help people reconnect with themselves on a deeper level. Reiki is at the heart of what I do—it’s a practice that supports stress release, restores balance, and creates space for clarity. The breath, the body, and even creative practices like art or mala making become tools that extend this healing beyond the session, helping people live with more ease and authenticity.

What’s often misunderstood about my work is that people expect instant transformation—like Reiki, breathwork, or yoga are magic wands that ‘fix’ everything. But true healing isn’t about a quick fix. It’s about creating lasting change, and that requires your participation.

A Reiki session, for example, helps release stress, clears the noise, and reconnects you to your own inner wisdom. That clarity is powerful—it gives you the choice to respond to life differently, instead of just reacting out of old habits. But then the real work begins: taking what you’ve uncovered in a session and weaving it into your daily life.

Healing is not about bypassing the hard stuff. It’s about building the tools, resilience, and self-trust to meet challenges with more ease. The beauty is—you don’t have to do it alone. I hold space for you in session, whether in person at Dancing Dogs Yoga Studio or virtually, so you can come back to yourself, recharge, and feel supported as you walk your path.

The truth is, your well-being, your peace of mind, your soul’s alignment—these are priceless. And while it does take effort, it’s worth every step. Because you are worthy of joy, peace, and prosperity, not someday—today.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Rachel. I’ve been a Reiki practitioner since July 2020, a breathwork guide since March 2024, yoga certified since March 2025, and a life time artist. At the heart of my work is helping people reconnect with their authentic selves—through energy healing, mindful movement, the power of the breath, and even creative expression through mindfulness prompts. My approach is all about blending intuition with grounded practices so that healing doesn’t just stay on the mat or in the session, but ripples into daily life.

What makes my work unique is how it meets people where they are. For some, that’s through a private one-on-one Reiki session to release stress and find clarity. For others, it’s joining our Patreon community, where I share a monthly breathwork and Reiki practice along with mindfulness prompts. It’s a way to sustain your personal practice without pressure—like having a gentle reminder that you can return to yourself, at your own pace, whenever you need it.

And for those in the Atlanta area, I occasionally host an in-person group offering called Rooted in Joy, often in partnership with Dancing Dogs Yoga Studio. These gatherings are beautiful opportunities to move, breathe, and creatively express yourself in community.

Right now, I’m most passionate about creating spaces—both online and in person—where people can feel supported, nourished, and reminded that they are worthy of joy, peace, and creativity. Whether you’re looking for a consistent touchstone through Patreon or a deeper experience in session, there’s a place for you here.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was intuitive, resilient, and full of brightness—and I think I’m finally coming back to that version of myself. For a long time, like many of us, I absorbed the expectations of who I was supposed to be, what success should look like, and how to fit into a mold that never really fit me.

Through Reiki, breathwork, yoga, and creative expression, I’ve slowly peeled those layers away and returned to my authentic self—one that listens deeply, trusts intuition, and leads with both resilience and joy. What I love most is that this isn’t just my story—it’s the journey I now hold space for in others. When someone comes into a Reiki session or joins a breathwork practice, they’re not just learning a tool. They’re remembering who they were before the noise, before the conditioning, before they forgot their own light.

So in many ways, my work, my Dharma, is about guiding others back to what I had to rediscover for myself: that underneath the pressure, the patterns, the distractions—we are already whole, already bright, already worthy.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self: You’re not weird—you’re wonderful. Your creativity, your curiosity, your different way of seeing the world—that’s your magic. And even though you’re a problem solver you don’t have to fix everyone’s life or “save” them; some lessons aren’t yours to carry. Focus on being fully you—bright, colorful, a little wild—and trust that the right people will show up to support you. You’ll find the tools you need, and in time, you’ll even help others who are ready to do their own work. You’re not alone, and you never were.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to a project that’s been on my heart for almost three years now—my Mindfulness Prompt Sticker Booklet. It started as a simple idea: what if people had a tangible, creative reminder to pause, breathe, and check in with themselves?

I’ve been slowly bringing it to life, making the artwork for journal covers, writing and developing the mindfulness prompts, and raising funds to buy a printer for test runs. My plan is to soft launch the finished product within my Patreon community, where members already receive monthly Reiki, breathwork, and mindfulness practices.

From there, I’ll expand with a print-on-demand vendor so these materials can be in the hands of people all over the world.

The belief behind this project is one I’ll never let go of: that everyone is inherently creative, and that we all hold wisdom, intuition, and resilience within us.

Sometimes we don’t need to look outward for answers—we need reminders to turn inward. These stickers are little invitations to do just that: to remember your own power, insight, and personal intelligence. It may take time, but I believe these tools will help people build practices that bring them back to themselves again and again.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I think about legacy, I don’t want it in the traditional sense. I know that memories fade, and that’s okay. What matters most to me is how people experience me while I’m here. I want people to say, ‘Go to her—she’s kind, she can help you find your light again, your hope again, your strength again.’

If, after I’m gone, the people I’ve touched continue to feel empowered, to trust their intuition, and to use the tools I’ve shared—Reiki, breath, movement, mindfulness, or creative expression—then that is enough. My hope is that the kindness I offered ripples out through them, not as a monument to me, but as a reminder that they are worthy, powerful, and deeply connected to the divine. That, to me, is the only legacy that matters.
