Today we’d like to introduce you to Avanto Garde.
Please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
In the very beginning of my journey, I was broke to the core and only had one lens on my D200 Nikon. My lack of money, supportive parents or any sort of foundation still couldn’t stop me. In 2017 I came to Atlanta with a passionate dream – to become the best in the city, country, continent, world. Photography is now no longer a hobby, but a major aspiration.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I don’t take photos just to take photos. Avanto-Garde is the name I go by for a reason – I want to be the avant-garde of photography. I believe in thinking outside the box, limits and away from the comfort zone. I want my audience to aspire to be the best, most creative versions of themselves and not let social media and societal standards take away their individualism.
I believe in finding uniqueness in everything, whether it’s a composition of buildings, landscapes or a portrait. I do my best to develop a photo and create complexity out of simplicity.
I don’t let myself solely focus on photography; I consider myself an artist. Therefore, I plan to expand beyond using the camera to communicate my vision to the world.
I came from nothing, and I’m building something out of it.
How do you think about success, as an artist, and what do quality do you feel is most helpful?
If you look through my photos, you’ll notice that I do something unique with each one. To me, that’s the biggest definition of success – not staying in your comfort zone even after you find the success. It’s all about being the black sheep and not striving to change that about yourself. Don’t jump on the bandwagon. It takes patience, but you’ll eventually be noticed in the huge herd.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I’m very active on Instagram (avantogarde), have my own website – www.avantogarde.com.
If you see something you like on my feed, I can make a print, and we can arrange a price-point, size, delivery, etc.
Small support gestures like comments, reposts, shares are very appreciated!
