Today we’d like to introduce you to Chevonne (Chevy) Harvey.
Chevy, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Ok, So Boom. This is a story all about how a Young girl from Boston Massachusetts came to Atlanta originally as a photographer and drifted into Modeling. I have always been shy so getting in front of the camera was a bit scary for me because no one ever took me seriously until I started working with two great friends of mine who pushed me to really be great.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
Art is everything you ever looked at. Art is whatever you see beauty, happiness, anger, and sadness in. My art is that I’m a new Atlanta Model striving to be one of the greatest that young women can look up to because I’m relatable and give off a vibe. My artwork, in my opinion, is something different every time I base every photo I do of my feelings. I just hope people can take that at the end of the day I’m just a regular degular girl from Boston that made a drastic move to Atlanta to reach her goals and just want people to look at the art I do and create it into their own.
Do you think conditions are generally improving for artists? What more can cities and communities do to improve conditions for artists?
Artists today have it the absolute hardest in this day and age. I say that because being an artist not everyone sees the potential that you do, nobody sees the same art as you everything is different in someone else’s eyes. Also, artist have it so hard because everyone wants to collaborate instead of investing time money and energy on what we as artist love and work hard for. To me, cities like Atlanta need to drift away from their comfort zones and really open their minds start working with new people interact with artists you never thought you would and see a different perspective
