Today we’d like to introduce you to Fletcher Briggs.
Fletcher, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I started Photography because I’m what one who would call cheap but very frugal. Always had a thing for art and photography but didn’t want to pay anybody to do it or go to a workshop so I self-taught Myself Went to a local pawn shop bought a camera and started experimenting and fell in love with bringing visions alive and capturing emotions. I do More street photography to catch real emotions and real life
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art is photography. I shoot street photography the most because I enjoy capturing raw emotions and feelings along with using elements around me to give a certain vibe. I enjoy black and white and mostly vibrant images because I love colors. I hope That people can see my pictures and think they should go out more and just be yourself and embrace your style! Whatever you love! Do it to the fullest!
Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities, and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
Most definitely charge what you think your work is worth! Also, don’t hesitate to buy and experiment with different equipment. Do not be afraid to buy used things from the pawn shop or local camera shop to rent some things. Do whatever is best for your pockets!
