Today we’d like to introduce you to Infamous Kiddo.
Infamous, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My storyline is simple, was born into poverty from the slums of south New Jersey at the age of seven, moved to Charlotte North Carolina where I would explore my gifts and abilities.
I’m the only artist on both sides of my family I am a middle child and always was misunderstood I started drawing at the age of ten later in my life because of boredom and poverty I decided to start taking art pretty seriously this was at the age of 20. My father would later send me to live with my mother who at the time was more fortunate there I would learn and develop my own style of painting I became fascinated with space earth and started to understand that I could make a difference with my art than at the age of 25 I made the boldest move to move to Atlanta Georgia. Without a plan I just did it I was homeless for the 1st two months, but my art allowed me to travel and for doors to open now at the age of 26 I’m inspired and so many ways to uplift through my work and continue to make a difference and change people perspective and the way to make them understand that being yourself is good.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
My art I call it spacechilddopeness. A combination of abstract vibrate colors composed with Images I see in my mind. I’m heavy influenced by Japanese animation, Jean Micheal BASQUIAT, Michael Angelo, and Salvador Dali. My art tells the story of my life and my past images there were plugs. Then outlets now there are just light switches the meaning behind them are very vast. And depending on the placement of them tells the focal point of the story. My message is to continue to find yourself life is an endless journey and it’s important to express yourself in many ways we all are unique we have to find that part of us and never let go!
Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities, and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
Yes, man doesn’t give up its seriously challenging even for me as an artist to keep going pushing new images marketing and getting your work out there. The best advice I can say is patience and never give up.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
