Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Snow.
Nine year experienced tattoo artist from Sylvester, GA. Self-taught tattoo artist that has mastered his craft over the years. Conquered Albany, GA, in which he was called in off the streets to work in a tattoo shop because the owner said my name kept coming up in his shop. With no apprenticeship, I began working in a shop and received my license within my first three months of being in the shop. From there I acquired a clientele that stretched from Valdosta to Atlanta and most of the counties in between.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
Freehand tattoo artist that takes the not so clear images in my customer’s head and add my artistic experience to create a life long masterpiece that they would want to share with everyone they come in contact with.
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Take the time to learn the craft and techniques of tattooing. If going through an apprenticeship will help you learn the basics to take the steps to make you great at tattooing then that’s what you need to do. The experience you have with customers will be greater if you know what you’re doing and can make them comfortable and want to come back for more, as well as bring their friends and family with them.
