Bridgett Battles of Suburbs on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Bridgett Battles shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Bridgett, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building—what most people don’t see—is the foundation behind The Bridgett Battles Experience. On a personal level, it’s the resilience, discipline, and confidence I had to strengthen in silence. People see the stage presence and the polished brand, but they don’t see the faith, sacrifices, and late nights that shaped the woman I’ve become.

On the business side, it’s the systems, strategies, and structures I’ve built to make transformation possible for my clients. The world may see the coaching sessions and keynotes, but behind them is an infrastructure that ensures I can consistently deliver excellence.

That combination—the inner work and the behind-the-scenes work—is what I’m most proud of, because it’s what allows me to help others show up as their undeniable selves.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Bridgett Battles, and yes, that’s really my name—and it perfectly captures my life’s work.
I help successful women who’ve hit a critical realization: their external presence doesn’t match the value they deliver. They’re brilliant, accomplished, and transformative in their work, but something is missing. That “something” is executive presence, and it’s costing them opportunities, influence, and income.
What makes my approach different is that I teach feminine fierceness, not masculine imitation. Too many women think they need to show up like men to be taken seriously. I teach them to command attention by being authentically powerful—magnetic rather than demanding.
My journey to this work wasn’t linear. I’ve faced my own battles and learned that resilience isn’t just about surviving—it’s about using your pain as your platform. Every setback became a setup for my comeback, and now I help other women write their own comeback stories.
Currently, I’m expanding my impact through keynote speaking, my signature coaching programs (The BBExperience and Executive Elevation Program), and I just launched Crown Blend coffee—because I believe transformation starts with how you begin your day. Coffee and confidence, that’s my morning mantra.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
“True connection is built in the unseen moments: when we choose honesty over hiding, empathy over judgment, and presence over distraction. That’s what breaks bonds—and that’s what restores them.”

Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, I remember a time someone truly listened to me—it wasn’t just hearing my words, but really holding the space for me to be seen and understood. They didn’t interrupt, judge, or try to fix anything. They simply gave me their full attention, reflected back what they heard, and made me feel validated. That moment didn’t just make me feel heard—it gave me clarity, calm, and the courage to move forward.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“Perfection equals presence.” Many people think you have to be flawless—perfect wardrobe, perfect speech, perfect posture—to be respected. The truth is, presence comes from confidence, authenticity, and how you make others feel, not from perfection.

“Style is superficial.” Some think executive presence is just about clothes or appearance. But the reality is, your external image is a tool to amplify your internal power—it’s communication, influence, and alignment all in one.

“Success alone builds credibility.” Being good at your job isn’t enough. Leadership presence is about visibility, how you show up, and how you connect with people. You can be brilliant but invisible if you don’t cultivate presence.

“You either have it or you don’t.” Presence is often treated like a magical trait. In reality, it’s learnable, trainable, and intentionally buildable with the right mindset, habits, and strategies.

The truth my clients learn is that presence is a skill, a mindset, and a way of being—and anyone willing to do the work can cultivate it.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
What I’m doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years is investing deeply in the long-term growth of my brand, my influence, and my legacy. I’m building systems, creating signature programs, forming strategic partnerships, and cultivating a community of leaders who will continue to grow with me. It’s not about instant results—it’s about planting seeds now that will create exponential impact and transformation down the line, both for my clients and for the reach of The Bridgett Battles Experience.
