Carissa , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I felt immense joy was watching all my children together, playing and showing genuine love for one another. My baby and my four-year-old are inseparable; their pure, amazing affection for each other is truly admirable. I hope that bond and the depth of their love continue to inspire them to show that same kind of love to the rest of the world.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Carissa Rolle, the founder of Caring for People Worldwide Royally Inc and Rissabae’s Classroom. Our mission is twofold: we provide comprehensive tutoring and mentoring to students from all backgrounds, and we enrich the community by producing performing arts concerts.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The earliest time I remember feeling truly empowered was during high school when we started the preschool program. As we taught the young children from our community, seeing their academic development gave us an immense sense of purpose and made us feel special.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
I remember feeling scared and profoundly sad as a child when my mother, Jennifer Wade, received her diagnosis of lymphoma cancer. That moment delivered the worst news imaginable. Jennifer was a powerful figure—a beacon of light in her community and globally. She left an unmatched positive impact on families and children, always striving to ensure everyone around her felt happy and secure. She truly went above and beyond the call of duty.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Two projects I’m determined to complete, regardless of the time needed, involve innovative educational resources: first, establishing myself as a recognized educational workbook author, and second, developing albums that integrate music directly with various school subjects to aid student learning.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my customers would truly miss my caring spirit and unwavering dedication. They would especially notice the absence of the great care I take with their children and their academic growth. My personality, laughter, and deep empathy would also be missed.
