Check out Ilya Zobanov’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ilya Zobanov.

Ilya, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I started shooting real estate in 2010. At that time I was a real estate agents, and photography was my hobby. I started taking pictures of my listings and eventually improved my technique. In 2013 I decided to leave the sales side of business and focus of photography and video. Now, five years later I work with dozens of real estate agents, builders, and interior designers, creating digital media content for them.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I work with professionals like real estate agents, builders, and designers. I use multiple off-camera lights to create dynamic photos that show depth and have great appeal to the eye of the consumer. Even on a simple real estate photo shoot, I try to use techniques that I implement during a more complex interior design photoshoot.

In my video production, I use Sony A7iii with a few G-Master lenses, coupled with a 4-axis gimbal stabilizer. For exterior shots, I often use a drone. Over the years I learn some fun video editing tricks and found great audio track resources that help me stay relevant to buyers’ interests today.

Additionally, I do business headshots. I use a system of 5 lights, a combination of LED-panels and strobes with softboxes to create high-quality professional headshots. The key is not just lighting but working with the person to capture that one fantastic expression of confidence and approachability.

How can artists connect with other artists?
I enjoy connecting with other photographers on Instagram. I learn from them, ask them questions, comment and like the posts. I also like to answer questions and help young talent with anything I can. Every other month I teach a real estate photography class at Atlanta School of Photography. That’s a great place to learn and connect with other artists and photographers.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My work can be seen in magazines and in brochures and on real estate websites. I like to post a lot of my work on www.instagram.com/atlanta_photographer and usually have some fun stories from my daily routine.
