Check out James Prather Jr’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to James Prather Jr.

James, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Well a little after I finished high school at Green Forest Christian, I went off to college at Gordon to major in Computer Science. Few semesters went by and it hit me that school just wasn’t for me. From there I started working a 9-5. But every job was temp every one knows that you may or may not get hired on. So, by the 6th job, my eyes open and realized working for someone and not yourself it’s hard to really grow and maneuver the way you want or need to. My friend reminded me that a boss will never pay you enough to be his neighbor, and that stuck with me. So, I became an entrepreneur.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a barber.
I started cutting hair after I saw from growing up, the impact a great hair cut can give a person. The feeling they get after I hand them the mirror & they smile with satisfaction is priceless. When you look good, you feel good & I pride myself on delivering good service. While being a barber maybe a side hustle for some, but for me, it’s a profession. A craft I will master & art created within each haircut.

I’m also a model:
I recently started pursuing Modeling people been telling me to pursue it. I never really thought I had the look for it. I never really thought I could be big in it. One day I was just like what the heck I’ll give it a try. I took a couple of photos and post them on social media. I got a lot of feedback on them. From that day it made me look at modeling in a different way. So here I am today modeling. Whatever you have your mind set on to do never let anyone stop you. it’s your goal, it’s your vision, is your dream.

Trainer:
When I first started this fitness journey, I knew that I wanted to help change someone’s life. Fitness is a lifestyle that I have grown to love thanks to a few mentors along the way (Andrew Omose LTG, AL Godfrey Ghostfit, Justin Clark and when I see my clients get the results they want makes me love it even more. Being fit isn’t about eating healthy and about putting in the work. I believe that loving yourself enough to become a better and healthier you is important. All it takes is a simple decision
