Check out Kappa ‘s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kappa.

Kappa, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
At the beginning of my ninth grade, I had my mind set on becoming a rapper. I went to the studio consistently, studied other artist recordings, and tried to market myself. A couple of months into me becoming an upcoming rapper, my friend introduced me to ‘fl studio.’ Immediately, I felt like making beats was the superior option for me because it gives me the opportunity to express myself without speaking. This is when I found my calling to become a producer.

My 10th grade school year was probably my most embarrassing year because of people around me making fun of my craft that I had confidence in and it felt horrible. I used that laughter as motivation and did not let it stop me, I continued to work to the point where I was making beats in class, lunch, P.E. where ever I could and never cared about how people looked at me. The 11th-grade year is where things started to pick up and that is the year where I connected with Young Deion and TopNotchZion to create the project “Young Niggas Run Atlanta.” I and Deion made a song by the name of “PFK” that quickly got our names buzzing in our age group all around Atlanta and to date the song is at around 160,000 plays and 305,000 plays for the whole tape on apple music alone. TopNotchZion and I are working on his album “For the fans 2.” Last year, I was only listening to Zion and now we are about to release an album that will shake the whole Atlanta and wake up a lot of people that are sleep.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I just turned 17 and I am a hard working producer. I currently use Fl Studio (fruity loops) versions 11, 12 and 20 to make my beats. I create what I am feeling at that moment of time even if I’m mad, sad or even tired just to lay it out through music. I want to be a super producer and I want my tag to be stuck in peoples head 24/7. I just hope people understand the mood I was in behind any of my beats. A message I would give to anybody that’s in the same boat as me is to keep working hard and pray, always keep God first in anything you do.

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
My only advice for other producers is to keep working no matter what because you get out what you put in.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
You can go on Apple music and search my name and I have a playlist with my music.
