Check Out Aishvarya Hariharan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aishvarya Hariharan.

Hi Aishvarya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a master’s graduate working as an Electrical Engineer in Atlanta. I was always interested in creativity, art and photography since childhood where I always try to make sure I had a creative outlet always. I have started my photography page in the year 2014 as an amateur photographer. All I had that time was my friend’s I-phone which I used to capture candid Portraits, Macro and every beautiful scenery. After a year or so, I got my first DSLR Nikon D3400 in a thanksgiving sale with which I started pursuing photography as a hobby, I have taken pictures for events like Wedding, Pre-wedding, Portraits, New-born photoshoots, events and food photography. I have learnt so much in these few years about photography while enjoying the process as well which made me upgrade my camera as well. Especially due to Covid work from home protocols, I make sure I go out to some artistic places like Krog Street Tunnel and Ponce City Market and take candid portraits for people, Architecture and pets.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate. Right now, due to visa restrictions I am doing photography as a hobby and building my portfolio but looking forward to start a business when the time is right.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Apart from my full-time Engineering Job, I am a photographer. I have taken pictures for events like Wedding, Pre-wedding, Portraits, Newborn photoshoots, events and food photography. Whenever there is any occasion around me, I am always ready with my camera ready to shoot. Portraits and Macro photography are the ones I am very proud of which I enjoy the most too. Every photographer has a particular style of editing their picture and I think different in terms of editing where I edit pictures based on tone, mood and vibe of the picture and a location. I have a varied sense of composing the pictures and do not stick with a particular style only.

How do you think about happiness?
Photography is my creative outlet which gets me going which helps my soul rejuvenate.
