Today we’d like to introduce you to AJ Swain
Hi AJ, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name in Antuane Swain. I come from all over Georgia. I derive from families of South Carolina and Florida. My mom came to Georgia when my older brother turned about 15. My young age wasn’t much fun. I started noticing death around me starting at about 9 yrs old. It started when I lost my first ever friend he died in an accident in front of my eyes and I never got to even know his name. It shut me down completely growing up pretty lonely and not very communicative. As you get older of course more death occurs buh you’ll eventually learn to numb it. The life I had growing I would say was the worst though my mom worked hard for everything and everyone around her. Traits I seemed to pick up later. Which I didn’t realize was a great toll on her till later on. But it open my eyes to work even harder because at this time my mother already had 4 kids and a lot of stress. Meanwhile I’m 21 still no kids which gives me no excuses in my eyes. So the same way she worked for my ENTIRE family. I want to be the one to give her that break. So yeah that’s where I’m coming from…
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I make music but with every song has a message meant for you to decipher of course. I do things out of my range to keep that level of standard I’ve had of my mother. I love music. The minute I picked it up there was no putting it back down. It genuinely saved me…
What does success mean to you?
Success is when you’re finally able to breathe steadily.
