Today we’d like to introduce you to All Hustle No Fear aka The Hood Unicorn.
Hi All Hustle No Fear, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Sunshine Reigns a.k.a Hood Unicorn and I am owner and host of All Hustle No Fear, the morning radio show on Hits92.3ATL. Radio came to me. The owner of the station, Kelz Mungin, is a former beauty client and subsequently, a really good friend of mine. She has a knack for spotting talent, seeing the best in people and pushing them out of their comfort zones….and boy did she push me! Three years ago, All Hustle No Fear was on air one day a week for 1 hour. Fast forward and AHNF is now live on HITS92.3ATL Monday-Friday 7am till 10am. CHECK OUT OUR GROWTH!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far, the biggest obstacle is learning how to curate a popular show and keeping it consistent! I don’t have a background in journalism or radio so I rely a lot on the lessons learned and the mistakes made to guide the way. Securing new business and monetizing the show are new experiences as well, but they have become welcomed ones! All Hustle No Fear has taught me to RUN TO my fears and BEAT THEM down! Prior to taking the reigns as the flagship show on Hits 92.3, I would have never considered myself a content creator. Now, for All Hustle No Fear, I create 15 hours of original LIVE content weekly and spend countless post-production hours editing content for our Youtube and Facebook platforms. All Hustle No Fear is an educational comedic morning show with a late night twist. Think after dark radio in the morning! AHNF is on a mission to bring topics important to the community and culture to your favorite devices. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My biggest lessons have been to not give up. There have been a few times during AHNF that I definitely could have given in and given up. I’ve had to wear multiple hats and do all of the work on my own. For many people, this would have discouraged them from continuing their show but for me, it pushed me to try harder! I can’t wait to see the next level that AHNF will reach!
