Today we’d like to introduce you to Arielle Morgan.
Hi Arielle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an actress. My freshman year in high school I got introduced to theatre. I did a few plays here and there but then I kind of got away from it. In 2019, I moved to Atlanta to pursue my acting dreams. I had no idea how I was going to do it but I knew I had to make it happen. I ran into a few photographers that asked me to model for them. I had no thoughts of being a model or even had the confidence to be one. Once I started getting comfortable in front of the camera, I started doing extra/background work and the rest has been history.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When you’re following your dreams and doing something that you’ve never seen done before it’s definitely hard. Every day is a faith walk. I work a lot of hours on set, sometimes 17-18 hour days. I’ve had to miss birthdays, family events, and just overall quality time with the people that I love. I’m such a family-oriented person so that will always be hard for me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an actress/published fashion and hair model. I’ve been featured in a few films and tv shows like “Coming to America 2” and “Respect.” I landed my first supporting role on “Genius Aretha.” You can also catch me in Dante Bowe’s “Family Tree” music video on BET. I model for Mielle Organics, one of the biggest hair companies in the world. I’m most proud of my modeling work. Sometimes, I look back at myself in some of those pictures and I can’t believe that it’s actually me. It’s like I become a more bold, confident and just fierce version of myself.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I consider myself a risk taker. It’s important to get out of your comfort zone in order to reach your full potential. The people closest to me help me with that for sure. If I’m afraid to make a move on something, they’re usually the ones to give me that extra push to just go for it. So it’s key to have people around you to push you when you might be operating out of fear.
