Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Austin.
Hi Ashley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Ministering in 2015. I heard the call as a child at the age of nine at a summer revival. I finally answered the call at the age of 31. I was licensed as a minister in 2015 and eventually started my personal ministry in 2021.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not been a smooth transition. Life has thrown many curve balls. Depression set in 2017, as I was going through a divorce and I even attempted to commit suicide. All of these was while preaching the gospel. But my redeemer Jesus spoke to me through a nurse and reminded me that his grace was sufficient for me, even in that situation.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m in ministry and I’m a baker. I own A’s Cupcakes and Creations where I offer customized cakes and treats. My greatest accomplishment would be ministry though. My ministry is geared toward broken women who may not see their value in the kingdom of God. I host an annual conference, The Broken No More Women’s Conference and a prayer breakfast, The Gathering of The Intercessors. I, also, have a podcast Ashley’s Corner, that offers encouraging words in 3 minutes or less. My mission is to build the kingdom of God one soul at a time.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love coming to Buckhead to eat and shop. I don’t like the heavy traffic.
