Hi Big, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I honestly had a knack for music since I was young, I had little compositions notebooks I would write raps in and everything. As I got older, I leaned away from music but always seemed to be interested in newer sounds that I heard on the radio, TV & more. In the 10th grade I had a lot of time on my hands and started teaching myself how to make beats every day after school but shortly stopped once I went on to the 11th grade. I picked producing back up in 2020 and I’ve been going strong ever since, I’ve even added a wide array of other talents under my belt such as Audio Engineering & Songwriting as well. I’ve also managed to work with and meet many of the talents around the Atlanta area also.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been nowhere near a smooth road, it’s been filled with self-doubt, sometimes a lack of motivation, constant questioning of quality, a sleep schedule that never gets on track & the occasional procrastination. Although it has been hard and I have a long way to go, the only thing to do is continue moving forward and work harder. I didn’t come this far just to stop now.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to keep going. Don’t let doubt and other people’s opinions stop you from doing what you really want to do in life. Make it happen by any means necessary.
