Check Out Brittany Gray’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Gray.

Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I am Brittany Gray and I am a certified PA. I have practiced medicine since finishing my master’s degree in early 2016. The first two years of my career taught me how to learn on the job, how to take care of complex medical cases with lack of access to appropriate care, how to lead an entire department, and helped increase my confidence and grow tremendously as a provider. However, the nature of this first job also taught me about career burnout. Once my scholarship obligation was completed, I was given the opportunity to work in dermatology.

Career flexibility is one of the many appealing aspects that initially attracted me to the PA profession. Prior to PA school, I frequently shadowed dermatology PAs and loved the specialty. I like to say that I traded pediatric well-child checks for dermatology annual skin checks! The majority of my PA background has been in medical & surgical dermatology.

After having my second child, I took a step back from full-time work. I am working in the office about once a week, am working as a PA concierge injector by appointment, and am at home soaking up “the little years” with my children as much as I can. I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to maintain my hard-earned medical skillset by helping others age gracefully while enhancing their natural beauty through Botox, filler, and chemical peels.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?

I started my career as a PA in downtown Atlanta as a pediatric primary care provider. This first job was strategically chosen to fulfill the requirements of the National Health Service Corp Scholarship I received that paid for graduate school in its entirety. I was drawn to the medically underserved through a medical mission trip to Kenya prior to PA school, through volunteering at a free medical clinic during undergraduate and graduate school, and while completing a six weeks international primary care clinical rotation in rural Belize.

I had a difficult time finding a job opening in a clinic that was deemed underserved enough to fulfill my scholarship obligation. When I finally started my first job, I had recently graduated, passed my boards, gotten married, moved to a new city, and was expecting our first child. This life stage was stressful to say the least!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently specialize in medical aesthetics, and I work for a concierge injectable company to bring treatments to you in the comfort of your home. I am most proud of the work-life balance I have been able to achieve as a concierge injector.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?

As a concierge injector, I bring the treatments to you. I can see patients individually and privately, or I can treat a group of people at an event at your home or workplace. Many clients have opted to host events (which include a hostess discount!) to show employee appreciation. Please reach out if this is something that would interest you, your friends, or your company.

I am currently looking to partner with a salon or spa in the Roswell, Alpharetta, or Johns Creek area by enhancing their menu of services to offer medical treatments such as Botox, filler, and chemical peels. If you or anyone you know might be interested in this type of partnership, I would love to hear from you! Please contact me.
