Check Out Carita Fambro’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carita Fambro.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Having worked in various industries in Corporate America, I always felt unfulfilled. Being at home full-time with my daughter allowed time to invest into my hobby. What started out as just that, a hobby, slowly turned into a full-time business. I’d always had a desire to work in a creative space and accepted that if I wanted it to flourish, I needed to do the work! Connecting with successful creatives helped to see the vision more clear, and now I’m on the path to continue to grow my business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think we’ve all had bumps in the road, that’s life. The biggest bump for us all has been managing life pre/post Covid-19. So to answer the question no, it has not been a smooth road for me. The Pandemic created struggles for me as I was forced to adapt to new social routines, from choosing to skip in-person gatherings, where I love to create food themes for parties, to consistently wearing masks in public places like the grocery store or even shopping centers. Having to physically distance from the people I love such as family, friends, was extremely hard. However, working my full-time job and running my blog, Seasoned To Taste helped center me and my mental health through all the chaos. We all know about taking the good with the bad so I followed my entrepreneurial desires personally and professionally as it has given me purpose that’s so much bigger than me, now that I get to connect with people through their love of food.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a food blogger, photographer, recipe developer and content creator. As a lover of all things food and entertainment, I am able to share my gift by sharing love and stories through the dishes I create. Recipes have unique stories, and whether they are new or old and rich in tradition, it is how I connect and share my gift. My creations stem from a hybrid of quick and easy meals, fun twists on traditional foods and utilizing whole ingredients and fun pairings that are a joy to create and eat. My hope is to convert the noncook into becoming an inspired home chef.

I am most proud of the beginning of my path. I spent a lot of years overthinking what success and living my dream would look like. After a small nudge from my husband, I finally took the leap and started doing the work. I didn’t have the best equipment or tools then, but I had found passion and was ready to overcome my fear of failing. It was during this part of the journey, that I learned I never needed the perfect foundation to get started, but just needed to start and trust the process once I was in motion.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk taking is an interesting topic and an awesome question. You will find most entrepreneurs share stories of taking risks, but I feel NOT taking risks is also beneficial to running your business or following your dreams. After starting my blog while being a stay-at-home mom, it really helped to fuel me back into some sort of working lifestyle. While it would be ideal to run my business full time, I made the decision to go back to work as it helps to be a “student” for my own business. I am also able to fund my business working full-time. So yes, if it’s ideal and conducive for you and your household to quit your job and pursue a dream, by all means do so, but there are some instances where I think keeping your full-time job and pushing yourself to work on your side hustle until it can become your full hustle is also the move.
