Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedric Washington.
Hi Cedric , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Originally from Tampa Florida I’ve always had a love for media and entertainment. Moving to Atlanta in 2018 I was able to sharpen my skills and grow from being shy and in the background to developing my own podcast Ced talk. Later when my business parnter Casey diggs relocated to Atlanta we both came up with the concept of Pop out magazine. That was in 2022 and we have Been rolling ever since.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We’ve incurred many obstacles building our business from wrong partnerships, to low balling ourselves on deals just so we can show people what we could do. It was also a journey learning how to become a brand and staple In Atlanta without asking for permission. We don’t subscribe to gatekeeping we are the gates.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a media professional and creative strategist specializing in brand visibility, event production, and talent promotion. I’m known for connecting people with opportunities and creating moments that elevate brands and voices authentically. I’m most proud of the platforms I’ve built that help others gain exposure and grow. What sets me apart is my ability to blend creativity, strategy, and genuine relationships to produce real impact.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I owe so much of this journey to the people who poured into me early and consistently. My mother gave me the gift of business and vision, my father instilled in me the value of hard work and discipline, and my business partner, Casey, made room at the table and believed in building this platform together. Their support, guidance, and belief laid the foundation for everything we’re creating today.
