Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Patch.

Hi Claire, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Claire’s Kitchen started as an in-home business in 2014. The business was an idea from multiple friends and family to explore the idea of making Filipino food, Claire’s Kitchen started out catering and sale of Hot food. And basic bread within the Filipino community and local stores. By 2019, we had expanded into five stores and an online store. Once the fall of 2019 came and the Pandemic hit we gained seven more stores. And double our sales. We serve GA, NC, SC, AL, and TN. Currently, we are a Married Partnership working full-time from our Kitchen in Decatur GA, our office is based in Lawrenceville, GA. Our goals for 2023 are to grow our brand into large stores and /or increase our retail footprint online and in local Farmer’s markets.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest things that has been the challenge is marketing, staffing, and gaining capital.

Considering we were not social media users, we had to learn how it works and how we can use it for marketing

Trying to find good help has been very difficult considering we do 75% of are baking at night.

Getting capital to grow has been a huge challenge.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Claire has a background in the Grocery busniess going back to her home in the Philippines.

Her husband Mike started working in the Restaurant business as a teenager back in the late 80s. By the mid-’90s after graduating from school became head Chef at a local Stackhouse owed by his Godfather.

Were can we find your products in Atlanta?
Manila Mart in Doraville. Kuya Express in Duluth, Oriental Marketplace in Newnan, and by Pre-orders directly.
