Today we’d like to introduce you to Dajeyah B.
Dajeyah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I branded Lingrèt Jewels in 2018, with little to no idea on how to run a business. I just had a vision and my intense love for jewelry and fashion desired me to take that leap of faith. I will say over the years, being a business owner has had its ups and downs. However, if you want to be successful, you must include consistency and dedication. Being persistent and remembering why I started is what got me where I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been trial and error along the way if we’re being honest. I struggled with finding the perfect manufacturers at times, cutting the middle man, curating the perfect aesthetic for my brand that makes it stand out amongst others, going broke, literal tears, and so on. But what most may not know is that “struggle” is a part of every great story, you have to be confident in what you create and know that there is light at the end of each tunnel.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I would label myself as fashion visionary and creative who specializes in custom, costume and statement jewelry. I am known for my sense of fashion and having a distinctive style. I am most proud of never giving up on myself nor my brand. Being the owner of Lingrèt Jewels brings me so much joy! Just knowing that I created a business that is a representation of myself and other unique women means a lot to me. What sets me apart from others would be my individuality and integrity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I do not believe in luck. I strongly believe that everything in life is already written and what’s meant for you will never bypass you.
