Check Out Deundria Clark’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deundria Clark.

Hi Deundria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my own brand while playing collegiate basketball in 2017. I started by training my classmates and helping them become more active on the physical side. My brand is called Never Give Up. I came up with this brand because it is more of a lifestyle for me and I’ve endured many obstacles but I overcame every single one of them with God at my forefront. After I graduated college I put more focus on building the clothing brand side of the brand and turning it into a small business. I started coaching high school basketball in 2018 and instilling the never give up piece to my players. Ive played professionally in Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Morocco. I displayed my dedication and hard work through the game while also leaving a mark which is a testament to my brand. Fast forward to today, I am now a freelance graphic designer and photographer/videoagrapher which is a branch off from Never Give Up. I shot with my left hand when I played basketball so I felt it was only right to name the business A Lefty Shot It and Lefty Graphics. I am now a retired professional basketball player and I am looking to grow my clientele to become their “shooter.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, I’ve faced many struggles such as tearing both acls and making full recoveries. I’ve also had other serious injuries while playing the game I love. I’ve also faced challenges of not having any clients for a substantial amount of time. I try to go my hardest to be there for my family, my dad has ALS and my sister has MS. It’s hard watching them struggle with their health but they push me to be as strong as they are. It really is inspirational because the problems I’ve faced are so microscopic compared to what they go through on a daily basis.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a photographer/videographer. I specialize in sports photography but I also take portraits and lifestyle photos. I’m known for playing basketball lol but now I’m trying to get my name out in the community so that I can build a bigger clientele. I’m most proud of my daughter. God blessed me with the most happiest, loving, smart baby girl and he sent her right when I needed her most. I believe my hard work, dedication and genuine love sets me apart from others. I just want to help and support others in the best way possible with my best foot forward.

How do you think about happiness?
Waking up everyday knowing that God is not finished with me yet. I know he has written the most unique story for me and I’m so grateful to be walking in my purpose. From playing basketball to coaching to being with my family and raising my beautiful daughter; I’m rich and I don’t mean money. Life is great!
