Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Garcia.
Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, i am diana garcia , the creator and host of shaking The Culture podcast & shaking The Culture festival. How I came up with “Shaking The Culture” was by watching Cam Kirk’s interviews. In one of his interviews, I believe it was the one with Fox 5 Atlanta he said, “so I just love to document like people that are moving and shaking and really shifting culture” Once I hard that, I knew I had found the name of my podcast. I found out about Cam Kirk Studios because of my Friend Kelvin he took me there for my graduation photos after that, I met creatives that I felt didn’t get the flowers that they deserve and like I said watching all of Cam’s interviews made me realize that why not have a podcast where I can be like an Angie Martinez but the twist is having these creatives behind the scenes, entrepreneur and local artist on there and support them, so they can be the next legends everyone wants to be like Drake, Beyonce, Cam Kirk, Metro Boomin, etc. Now I also have a music festival called “Shaking The Culture Festival” this event, I bring local artists, vendors and a photo exhibit to this event and of course Hispanic food to represent my nationality. How I got here today… well I don’t think I have got anywhere yet, but I mean you guys reached out so maybe I am doing pretty good on growing my brand now. I would say podcast but now Shaking The Culture is becoming bigger then what I expected. I think I got to this point because everyone that I meet I genuinely care about them as a person and I love seeing people grow and will help them go as far as they let me help them,
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. It hasn’t. I’ve struggled with believing in myself, thinking I wasn’t good enough or not confident in myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, I work a 9 to 5 job during the week as a medical assistant. What am I known for… umm that would be because of my podcast that I host and my music festival.
I am most proud of actually making my ideas come true and becoming bigger once they are out in the world.
What set’s me apart from others is being myself and caring more about the relationships I am making then the money.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by helping others make their dreams come true and giving back to the community.
