Hi Earl , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
For nearly half of his life, DJ EarlThe3rd has been honored to bring the hype and provide the soundtrack for events of all types and sizes, from personal birthday parties with dozens up to tens of thousands, from Florida to Chicago to Texas and beyond! He got his start doing personal parties in college at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University as a teenager and gradually procured an increasing variety of shows, conferences, and events. He is currently most active in Georgia and has worked with such clientele as the Atlanta Public School System, Reach Records, and the MMA. DJ EarlThe3rd has participated in such events in Atlanta such as A3C, Streets Alive, Westview Summer Solstice, and a variety of neighborhood association sponsored events in the inner city. He has DJed at locales across the state including Kennesaw State, Georgia State, University of Georgia, Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, Spelman, Center Stage Atl, Level V, Piedmont Park, Stone Mountain, Atlanta Sound Factory, Riverside Epicenter, and many more! He hosted several parties and events through the pandemic with private parties and such organizations as The Annie Casey Foundation, Foster Success, and South Carolina’s Department of Social Services with online attendees from across the nation and beyond. He continues today primarily working with many churches and Christian organizations – including Blueprint Church, Free Chapel, Decatur City Church, Church on Main in Snellville, The Sexless Tribe, Knot Perfect, Men Cultivating Men, Owning It and Living It, the Tim Tebow foundation, and so many more. He is grateful for the journey he is on and enjoying every step providing joy and amazing experiences for crowds all over.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it has not – the path is never consistently smooth and ups and downs exist continually. From being an unexperienced DJ and having to prove his worth to clients, to the upset of the pandemic and remaining relevant even in a low time in the nation, to now watching his client base and target audience grow and mature and have different needs, He has had to learn to pivot and roll with the punches on my path. As such, he has evolved as needed and learned to serve clients of all types by broadening his abilities, knowledge and awareness of current trends in different demographics. Even now, the market is getting quite saturated and so it is of utmost importance to provide a good, consistent, enjoyable experience anywhere he spins music!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Specifically, Earl is a DJ in Atlanta who specializes in Christian and family friendly events. He is known for being able to provide high energy, fun, engaging atmospheres while still remaining clean in content and family friendly for all ages and DJs for a variety of clientele across the state of Georgia and beyond. He is a departure from the norm because he adeptly provides a consistent experience while still being able to remain ethical in the types of music that are played, which allows listeners to have guilt free fun and experiences that encourage an atmosphere of fellowship and fun.
How do you think about happiness?
DJ EarlThe3rd is truly at his happiest when he is able to serve, not just on the decks but his family, loved ones, and community at large in many other ways as well. He believes that, though many of us are blessed with much and live a comfortable lifestyle, we are at our best when we can share our time, talents, and treasures to those around us because this is ultimately what we are made for.
