Check Out Easton Davis’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Easton Davis.

Hi Easton, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since 2012, I have been serving in ministry. I started as a Director of Youth Ministries for a congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. The opportunity was truly a “God moment”—a door opened, and I felt God-given agency to step through as my next faithful move.

By 2015, after successfully building a thriving youth ministry program, Bishop Wright invited me to join his staff as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the diocese. In this role, I supported the spiritual growth of young people across 120 worshipping communities in Middle and North Georgia, under the Bishop’s leadership.

As I navigated my journey as a youth minister, I uncovered a real sense of purpose in storytelling. This purpose led me to amplify the voices of young people by sharing their stories. This included learning photography and videography, launching a podcast youth ministry across, and building a strong youth ministry presence across various social media channels.

In early 2020, as the pandemic reshaped ministry, I expanded my role to focus on communications for Bishop Wright and the diocese. This included producing video series, creating Imagine Worship—a digital worship experience that has since grown into an in-person community in New York City—and launching For People, Bishop Wright’s podcast, which has amassed nearly 500,000 lifetime downloads.

In 2021, Bishop Wright called me to serve as the Canon for Communications and Digital Evangelism, an executive role on his staff.

This role has allowed me to fully embrace storytelling as a transformative tool, leveraging digital platforms to connect, inspire, and share the Gospel in innovative ways. Each project strengthens my commitment to using storytelling to foster deeper relationships and expand the reach of ministry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been one of growth, learning, and humility. I’ve always been driven to push myself, knowing that true growth often emerges from discomfort. To me, discomfort is a sign that I am wrestling with something meaningful, a catalyst for transformation.

Struggles are an inherent part of the journey. Life is not about achieving a perfect balance but about the ongoing act of balancing. Am I fully honoring my callings—to serve God and to be a father? What am I doing, and why am I doing it? Is there a sense of purpose guiding my steps?

These questions ground me and fuel my commitment to grow, reminding me that every challenge is an opportunity to align more deeply with my faith and my purpose.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At the core of my calling as a videographer and storyteller lies a commitment to amplifying stories of justice and inclusion. It’s about empowering individuals to share their truths with authenticity and strength, ensuring their voices reach those who need to hear them most. These are the stories society often seeks to silence—stories of radical love, courage, and transformation. They are, at their essence, stories that affirm the truth of being known as a beloved child of God. I’ve had conversations with hundreds of people representing the beauty and diversity of God’s creation. Along the way, I’ve learned that I have a gift to make people feel comfortable moments into an interview.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I wrestle with questions of self-esteem and self-worth: Am I enough? Am I worthy? Deep down, I know the answers to these questions, yet that doesn’t stop the struggle. Knowing the truth and fully embracing it are often two very different things.
