Hi Emil, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our brand started back in 2014 when we opened an Etsy shop selling vintage eyewear. We had a great selection of curated pieces, and we had this one best seller that was so popular. But we knew once we ran out of that inventory, our sales would slow down, so we had to get creative. That’s when we started designing our own styles—blending vintage inspiration with modern twists. It was a natural shift that allowed us to expand and build something unique, and we’ve been growing ever since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh, there were definitely a lot of struggles—building a brand from the ground up isn’t easy. One of the biggest challenges was definitely finding our voice and figuring out exactly what we wanted our brand to represent. When we first started, it was a bit all over the place. We were juggling so many ideas and trying to do everything with a very small team—designing, sourcing, marketing—you name it. It took a lot of trial and error to refine what worked and what didn’t.

Another struggle was staying consistent. You might see bigger brands gaining traction and wonder why things aren’t moving as fast for you. That’s when patience becomes so important and just remembering to stay in your lane.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to designing every single piece ourselves, which gives us total control over the quality and creativity of our products. Our frames are made from natural materials like wood and buffalo horn, which not only look beautiful but are incredibly durable and unique. Each pair is carefully crafted to highlight the natural textures and variations of these materials, making every piece feel one-of-a-kind.

But we don’t stop there. We also create our own lenses, and that’s something that really differentiates us. We offer a variety of tints and coatings, which means our customers can customize their eyewear not just for style but for function. Whether it’s anti-reflective coatings, UV protection, or just the right color for different lighting conditions, we’re all about creating something that fits the individual needs of our customers.

And on top of all that, we offer prescription services, so people don’t have to choose between style and function. It’s all about providing a complete, tailored experience where our customers feel like they’re getting something that’s truly designed just for them.
