Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Nitty.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Indianapolis and moved here to further my art career. I’m a tattoo artist of 14 years but I also do photography, graphics, special fx and design cars. I’ve been in Georgia four years now but just now spreading my talents amongst Atl. I joined black ink Atlanta as a tattoo artist but my creative juices won’t let me do just one thing. So now I’m trying to find my niche here in Atlanta to showcase all that I do with hopes of being a successful brand. I’ve currently been recognized for my car designs and gained popularity on social media and car shows. @nascar_nitt my alias known for my lightning McQueen Dodge Charger has been a big hit all over the world. All though I love the attention for that, I want to be known for more than just that. I would love to own my own photography/art studio here where I can showcase my art/makeup etc. that is my ultimate goal.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely hasn’t been easy. Especially being in a new state with no family and no help. I have a family to feed, I left a city where I’m already established to a totally new environment and trying to balance the fam and business can be a struggle sometimes.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do everything. If it’s art, I can do it, I can sew, paint, draw, photography, fashion design, set building, graphics, special fx makeup, graphics, you name it! I’m known in my city back home as a man that can do anything but tattooing started my career. Tattooing opened doors for me I never could imagine
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Being a man of many talents, I was able bounce around with everything to keep me afloat. I wasn’t really impacted and I’m blessed for that.
