Check Out Jabez And Christopher Jenkins’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jabez And Christopher Jenkins.

Hi Jabez and Christopher, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re Jabez and Christopher, brothers, owners and designers of Kings and Gents Accessories, a bow tie brand for teen boys. We’re from Metro Atlanta and 19 and 18 years old. We started sewing at ages 5 and 3 and started choosing fabrics at ages 7 and 6.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We had some challenges during Covid-19 with being able to get fabric from our normal places because a lot of the shipping containers that carried the fabric were just sitting at the ports and couldn’t be delivered because they were coming from China. We learned to look for new fabric stores in the U.S. so we would never be out of fabric again.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We design and make bow ties for teen boys by teen boys. We choose, cut and sew the fabrics. We have been growing our brand and now have manufacturers helping us expand our line. We will launch a wedding and prom line by the summer of 2025.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
We have our own holiday in our hometown of Covington, GA. It’s called Kidpreneur Day and it’s celebrated on April 29th every year.  On that day, we give boys new suits to help them start their own businesses.

Pricing:

  • $32 cotton bow ties
